Wow! The matter of this group has got the potential to deliver a lot of interesting contributions. Thank you for founding such a community. In fact I´m going to undertake some experiments transferring 100% digitally produced pieces of sound art to analog cassette tapes and eventually resample them back. I know there are some - partly quite expensive - apps/VSTs, which emulate the cassette sound digitally, and I´ve used them in my productions from time to time. But in my opinion (and my ears), there is still a remarkable difference to the sound of real tape.
