Greetings my dear Hive community!!!
Good evening!!!
I greet you again my dear community. Tonight I present to you a new portrait that I made today, which I baptized with my name, that is, Emperatriz. πππ
It is a portrait that I made with a touch of fantasy, trying to go back to my origins but also with a touch of what I am doing lately. I could say it's a combination of what I was doing with what I've been doing nowadays. π€
I don't do a lot of portraits as I want to one day work for the video game industry. Therefore, I need to learn how to do #Conceptart and character creation. That's why portraits are something I kept putting aside, although lately I've been taking them up again little by little. But the truth is that I don't feel so "identified" so to speak when I do them. It's not that I have a problem or that I don't like them, but I would like to make them more hyper mega realistic and with something more creative.... However, my level doesn't allow me to get to that point, so I get a little frustrated and that's why I didn't make them as often.
But with what I'm gaining lately... thing I'm not complaining ππ, quite the opposite... I'm grateful, since no one is obliged to give me money for my art and if someone does, for very little or a lot, I'm completely grateful forever πππ. But referring to the time-earning ratio issue, it's not rewarding, π«²π»π₯Ίπ«±π» since I spend a lot of time to create my characters or illustrations. But well... I think I'll settle for portraits for now, although on one hand that's good, as I get to practice and get better at creating portraits. π€πππ»

Getting back to the topic at hand lol.π€π€π€
When I started this portrait, I wanted to do it in #Corelpainter, but I had some problems. Actually, I have mixed feelings about that software because it's not bad, it's very good because of the natural effects it emulates. You can adjust a lot of things, but it has some details. It doesn't have autosave like Ps does. I don't know what's wrong with it, but it seems to me that it's more cumbersome to use than Ps. It crashes sometimes and I don't think it's because of the PC. It's not that it's the eighth wonder, but it's a #Ryzen7. I usually open several programs at the same time and it works very well... With #Corelpainter, it has some lag and with some brushes it also happens. Well, also because the license I have is a bit old, from 2019. Maybe in the new versions they fixed that. If so, it's perfect πβΊοΈπππ€. I don't use it much, but maybe in some future I will upgrade. It's really good and the new versions have a lot of juicy features... UwU love it!!!
-.-
Yeah, it's better here. I actually started this one pretty weird lol. A lot of blobs in a crazy way hahahaha. I spend time going through each of the brushes the #Corelpainter comes with. Still experimenting with them. For now, I like a couple of them, although since it closed on me and after a while it closed again out of nowhere, I continued it in Ps π€π€π€. I cheated, but I didn't want to take so long doing this. π€«π€
-.-
As I progressed, I upgraded what I had and it already looked better. It actually did look more decent... Lately, I pretty much do everything on one layer, at least the character. I leave the background apart. It's like doing it in traditional and I don't worry if I painted on the layer that is the sketch or something else. I just go over it and that's it. I don't use eraser or go back πππ, except for some details that I do in a separate layer and then collapse them.
-.-
After I had it somewhat finished, I got around to doing the other stuff. Ah, "fun fact", the clothing was pretty quick, something simple with a bit of transparency. I did this portrait like this because I was practicing for something I'm going to do. I usually do the golden armor and such, but this time I changed that, since it wasn't working for me like that. I did something darker, not so bright. So it was a way to figure out how I could do it ππ€π€π€π€ππͺπ».
-.-
From this point on, I didn't have much to change. Just go about rendering and improving what I already had there. The face had some changes in this step. Yes, it seems to me that this is not a step by step to the letter. Sometimes it's different to explain it like this. Go watch the video π€π€π. and you follow me... hahaha no, but yes, the truth is that although it's pretty fast, it's not the same what I explain here and what you see in the video π. Just opinion π€.
-.-
I hardly ever use soft brush. A lot of times I use my finger to do that smoothing on the brush overlay to enhance that. I wanted it to look a little less rustic π. There wasn't much left to finish my portrait.
-.-

For the final touches I added the last details I needed. I placed some lights and stones on the head to give another color to it,
and that's all.
And well, I'm going to sleep now so I won't keep bugging you, I hope you have a nice and happy weekend and see you soon!!! π€πππ΄π΄π΄
