💀 The poison seller - Black and white sketch 💀

I could call this creature a yokai, just like the one I shared with you few days ago, so it would be the second one I've drawn. I remember doing it almost 4 years ago, while I was waiting for an illustration class to start.

I tried to do it without any reference of bodies or anything else, so it was fun to start drawing and see what was showing up on the paper. In the end it was this character, whom I called "the poison seller",

I didn't imagine much more about the context, but maybe it's a monster that sells poison and this "poison" is just a potion that has the power to take you to the afterlife... I like that idea of a magic trip. The technique I used was simple: pencil on paper, but I have digitized and modified it, although I kept its original form even though it is not perfect.

A esta criatura la llamaría yokai, igual que la que les compartí hace unos días, así que sería el segundo que dibujo. Recuerdo haberlo hecho hace casi 4 años, mientras esperaba que comenzara una clase de ilustración.

Traté de hacerlo sin ninguna referencia a los cuerpos o cualquier otra cosa, por lo que fue divertido comenzar a trazar y ver lo que aparecía en el papel. Al final fue este personaje, al que llamé "el vendedor de venenos".

No imaginé mucho sobre el contexto, pero tal vez es un monstruo que vende veneno y tal vez este "veneno" es solo una poción que tiene el poder de llevarte al más allá... Me gusta esa idea de un viaje mágico. La técnica que utilicé fue sencilla: lápiz sobre papel, pero la he digitalizado y modificado, aunque conservé su forma original a pesar de no ser perfecta.
