yesterday the 8th round of season 19 was played. For the rules please refer to the announcement post.
It was a 2+1 bullet arena with 24 players! Welcome back, @wagnertamanaha!
At the end @lucianosky(Pavarotty) was the clear winner and last round´s winner @dhilan04 was runnner-up, followed by @rosmarly as third. Congrats to All!
I played not that bad this time, of course with occasional massive blunders, but I really have to rant a bit about the striking inequality with the pairings. Again my average opponent´s paring was the second highest of all (1878), while almost all above my rank had partly significant lower ranked opponents and also a lower tournament performance. This is quite annoying. I think I will make a break from arena tournaments and do the rest of the season only Swiss tournaments.
In this game from myself (Black) against @rosmarly I was threatened by a nasty fork against my Bishop while my Queen was attacked. There is only one way out and fortunately I found it. Can you spot it too and the correct follow-up?

Players can switch between the tournament tiers in case their rating changes!
In tournament 2 @justfavour was able to grab back rank 2 from @masterswatch while 4 rounds to go @lighteye has still a comfortable lead! Also in the other tournaments the current leaders seem unthreatened. But just one round missing and all could change!
