This ice cream parlor for its location in the heart of Vedado since its foundation was a center of cultural promotion, many artists when they finished their performances met there to enjoy a good ice cream, Coppelia was also a meeting place for young people of the capital, is a reference point for meetings and from there to plan where to walk.
With all these memories I walked to Coppelia along the popular 23rd Street or Havana Ramp, when I arrived I was not surprised that there were long lines in all areas, despite the rain that had just ended, one of the characteristics of the place is that there is always a line or queue as we say here.
I must be honest and tell you that it did not take me long, I immediately passed, of the areas that the place has, some downstairs and others upstairs, I really like the upstairs because it has a very peculiar view of the environment, so I went there.
When we arrived we were welcomed by the head of the hall who showed us where we should sit according to the number of people, I sat near one of the windows.
As soon as we sat down, the clerk approached us and kindly prepared to serve us, however it should be noted that the service was delayed, the quality of the ice cream is no longer the same as my palate remembers and finally painfully could verify that the size of the ice cream its real weight does not correspond to what is paid, this problem is already quite common in the state gastronomy, that made me very sad, because as I said the place brings me very pleasant memories.
I hope that there will be Coppelia ice cream for a while, that our ice cream recovers the usual quality (I want to tell you that even today it can be considered good) I would also like us to be able to offer a variety of ice cream and sweets.

Mis para bienes a todos los hiver de paseo de miércoles, es un gusto compartir con ustedes un paseo que es muy popular en la habana, desde que era pequeña recuerdo como mis padres nos llevaban a mi hermana y a mí a la famosa Heladería Coppelia para disfrutar de uno de los helados más rico de la habana y bueno yo dirá que del mundo, pero no quiero que me digan que soy chovinista jjj, con el pasar del tiempo lleve a mis hijos y ahora pues es tiempo que lo visiten los nietos.
Esta heladería por su ubicación en el corazón del vedado desde su fundación fue centro de promoción cultural, muchos artistas cuando terminaban sus actuaciones se daban cita ahí para disfrutar de un buen helado, también fue Coppelia cede de reuniones de los jóvenes de la capital, es punto de referencia para los encuentros y de ahí planear hacia donde caminar.
Con todos estos recuerdos caminé hacia Coppelia por la popular calle 23 o Rampa habanera, al llegar no me sorprendió que hubiese largas filas en todas las áreas, a pesar de la lluvia que recién había finalizado, una de las característica del lugar es que siempre hay fila o cola como decimos por acá.
Debo ser sincera y decirles que no me demore mucho rato, enseguida pase, de las áreas que tiene el lugar que son varias algunas abajo y otras arriba, a mí me gusta mucho el piso de arriba pues tiene una vista muy peculiar del entorno, por lo que hacia allí fui.
Al llegar fuimos recibidos por el jefe de salón quien nos indicó el lugar que nos correspondía tener según la cantidad de personas, yo me senté cerca de unos de los ventanales.
En cuanto nos sentamos se acercó la dependiente quien con amabilidad se dispuso a atendernos, no obstante cabe señalar que el servicio fue demorado, la calidad del helado ya no es la misma que recuerda mi paladar y por ultimo penosamente pudo constatar que el tamaño del helado su gramaje real no se corresponde por el que se paga, este problema es ya bastante usual en la gastronomía estatal, eso me apeno bastante, pues como les dije el lugar me trae recuerdos muy gratos.
Espero de haya Heladería Coppelia para rato, que nuestro helado recobre la calidad acostumbrada (quiero decirles que aun hoy se puede considerar bueno) quisiera además que podamos constar con la variedad de ofertas de helados y dulces.
