Today I invite you to take a walk with me in an amazing corner of the island of Chios, which we suddenly found while looking for an apartment.
First, our whole company: my son and his harem :) (I'm kidding, because there are five of us girls))), gathered for a discussion - where will we settle?
The son found an apartment that suited us for the price. They gave a discount for Ukrainians. $ 60 for 6 people is cheap in Greece. Louise's apartment was located by the sea in a place where there are no shops and cafes. The nearest shop at a distance of 10 km up the serpentines. And here our girls, who love more civilization, began to object. And my son and I love quiet places, so we couldn't agree. Finally, as I wrote in the last post, they went to see the apartment, and a few hours later came for us. So we didn't know where we were going, but we were told that we would be surprised!
And so we quickly drove along the steep serpentines down to the sea and found ourselves as if on the edge of the Earth! It was getting late, but I was still swimming on a deserted beach. It was new to me, the Aegean Sea, a little colder than the Mediterranean. I was happy. Being alone with the sea is so exotic!
In the morning we went out on the terrace and realized that this is really a very beautiful area! Coffee and fruit for breakfast, near the sea! What could be more beautiful! You could lie in a hammock, feeling the wind from the sea on your face ...
After lunch we went for a walk in the other direction of the island. There were only a few branches of houses, next to our apartments. Several Suzuki cars were parked on the road. With what pleasure I would get behind the wheel now and go on these winding roads among the Greek mountains! But here I did not have such an opportunity. There were other advantages. After a few hundred meters we opened a spectacular lagoon! At first we walked along the rocky shore, and it was dangerous to swim here. The structure of these stones was sharp and prickly. But suddenly a small cozy bay appeared before our eyes! And it was a completely deserted beach.
We were very happy with our discovery! There were small pebbles on the shore, the sunset was comfortable. And on both sides of the bay were large beautiful stones, heated by the sun. And it was so good to lie on them after bathing. I didn't even expect to live in such a paradise!
Later, I left my children in a bay by the sea, and I went for a walk on the road that led up.
The nature here was very exotic. Small trees, like the pines, with twisted roots.
The land is rocky, red. Around the bushes of a round dense structure covered this land. And amazing round prickly plants are also red!
There were also flowers. Wide pink flower bushes reminded me of thyme in Ukraine. Only they were also prickly, and had a sharper smell. And the yellow flowers on the background of orange stones looked like a painting by a great artist.
Була ще одна екзотична чистина цього краю - каміння поскладане, наче стіна на різних рівнях. Я поки що не отримала відповідь - для чого це. Можливо це захист від зсуву гори ?
I climbed higher and higher on the road, and in front of me opened more and more breathtaking views!
Then I saw something like a fence built of stone. It seems that someone wanted to build something here, but only made a fence.
My children went to meet me. And we enjoyed this deserted island for a long time, which we found as a nice gift ...
