Wandering around at Chimei Museum at Tainan Taiwan.

It was exactly Wednesday when the husband and I decided to go to Tainan to visit the tChimei Museum. This time, it's only the two of us, our previous companions, were at work. It was my first time commuting!

I was thinking of sharing the journey during the trip but perhaps next time. If I have a lot of time as I am planning to have vacation again after Christmas . For now let's just skip it and let me share with you our walk as my entry in #Wednesdaywalk hosted by @tattoodjay and #makemesmile by @elizacheng.

Yes, this is where we are going to wander!

As we got off the train, we started walking again going to the museum. I don't know if I had mentioned it already but buses here had only loading and unloading area. If your destination was still far from it, you have two options, take a taxi or exercise those joints and walk. We prefer the latter as I've been eating a lot the previous days.

Approaching near our destination, I passed by this bicycle for rent! Oh, this is the time I regretted a lot that I couldn't ride a bike. It would be such a big convenience if I could 😫.

Thus since I couldn't , we started the journey. Oh yes, at the end of the highway was the intersection going to Chimei. Hmmm, I bet I will be eating a lot later!

Finally, I reached the entrance and was amazed to see there are still 698 parking slots available. I guessed since it's a weekday.

To our dismay the main gate was closed and we didn't have a choice but to detour , take the alternative route. Upon seeing it I almost backed out as it looked endless!

See what I mean? What I am thankful for was, it was not that sunny so it was quite enjoyable to walk while enjoying the fresh air!

After minutes of walking, I swear my feet felt sore already when we arrived at the area! But nope, too far yet from the main attraction.

Are you sure we are on the right path? As it seemed it's only us here. I asked the husband and he was like; I don't know, it's also my first time here.

Oh, by the way, did you spot the Doggie? It keeps on barking at me so called the attention of the husband. However she replied, what a smart dog, clearly knows whom to bite and to get full. AH he was indeed a bully!

The area was huge and though it looks like not in full operation indeed it was still maintained.

We continued walking and thankful the dog didn't chase me, we came across this lotus pond. Yet, its flowers seemed not in season.

Finally, we can now see the glimpse of the museum. Have you noticed how the weather changes quickly? Earlier as you can see on the photos, the sky was blue and even Mr. Sun shines. Now? It turns gray and rain seems to pour anytime!

There was a wooden bridge to walk as below was a pond where you can see a lot of fishes, turtles and feathered friends. After which was the white iron bridge that could lead directly to the museum but again it was close to the public.

The #feathered friends I am referring to earlier and they had been calling the husband! Perhaps asking why we don't have food for them!

IMG_20231011_162635.jpg

And speaking of fishes there was really a lot and kinda huge! We called this Tilapia, yes it's edible but I am not sure with this one! Might not as the sizes don't look normal for me!

Now I understand why the shortcut was closed, it was much better to take this path and enjoy the beautiful creation. Spotted a few tourists like us, bought food and fed those fishes! Quite therapeutic isn't it?

There are also a lot of Turtles!

We stayed for a few more minutes here and after we headed to the main entrance, fountain area.

See the sky again was blue, lol!

With the thought we should not delay further, we turned back and headed straight to our destination.

IMG_20231011_164024.jpg

Spotted a few teenagers dressed like anime and dancing in front of the camera. Perhaps for a Tiktok video?

Us, after reaching the main gate, finally understand why there are only few tourists around!

IMG_20231011_165340.jpg

If in my country, most of the establishments etc were closed on Sunday, here it was Wednesday! That was one thing we didn't expect, lol. So we just contented ourselves with the view outside.

h, the sun was about to descend, twilight was coming so we decided to wrap up.

Yet, before we leave, I managed to capture this!

Thanks for dropping by and have a great day.
