Wednesday Walk - Stunning natural beauty and Waterfall at the end of the trail

Hello, Hive friends and lovely #wednesdaywalk visitors. How are you? I hope that all of us are given health and blessings from the universe. In today's post, I want to share the story of my journey while in the Karo district. My friends and I explored the rainforest there and met a waterfall called Sikulikap.

Karo Regency is the traditional territory of the Karo tribe in a mountainous area. In this place, many gems must be explored because it has many beautiful views, fresh and cool air, to beautiful waterfalls that are in this rainforest. In finding hidden gems in the open, sometimes we have to do a tough climb. but, not here. Just follow the path, and we can meet the beautiful Sikulikap waterfall in the middle of this forest.

To get to Sikulikap Waterfall which is at the end of the trail, start from the camp gate. Nature lovers and lovers of tranquillity will usually go to this place to camp for a few days to get inner peace and relieve fatigue from the noisy atmosphere of a city filled with air pollution. Here, we can feel peace and relax enjoying the beautiful and cool forest atmosphere. Even, around the camp area, there are also buildings made of wood for photo spots or selfies.

After tracing the camping area, we found a wooden bridge leading to the waterfall. On the right and left of the bridge, there are forest trees that are shady and cool. The forest view here makes me very comfortable and peaceful. Plus the sound of birds and insects chirping makes the mind calm when walking across this bridge.

After 10 minutes of walking along the wooden bridge, we arrived at the path that stuck to the edge of the cliff. On the left side of the path, there is a ravine that is not so deep. This path is not so smooth, because there are many gravel rocks on this path. So, we have to be careful where we step on this road. The scenery on the edge of the cliff is also very beautiful. Looks like lush forest and hills that add to the beauty of the atmosphere here.

After 15 minutes of walking on the rocky road on the edge of the cliff, we arrived at the Sikulikap waterfall which is at the end of the path we were going through. This waterfall, which is approximately 30 meters high, provides dazzling beauty. In front of the waterfall is also built a small bridge made of wood to take pictures. It's really cool when taking pictures in front of a waterfall that spills from the top of a cliff.

After being satisfied and tired of enjoying the Sikulikap waterfall, we returned home via the path we passed earlier. Because there is only one way to go and back. However, before arriving at the entrance gate, I was curious about what was in the forest. My friends and I tried to get into the forest. There is something that catches my attention in this forest, namely the existence of a wooden house that is no longer used. I think this house used to be a restaurant or inn. But I didn't dare to go inside for fear that a ghost would come out.

And not long after, we found a coffee shop in the middle of this forest. Wow, this forest is amazing to me. I've never enjoyed coffee in the middle of the forest. This is my first time trying. I ordered sanger coffee which tasted pretty good. The coffee here is sold at a standard price. Only 20K IDR ($ 1.33) per cup. But, I ordered wrong. Should, in this cool mountain weather order hot coffee. But instead, I ordered an iced coffee. So it becomes strange to enjoy an iced coffee in cool weather.

After finishing enjoying coffee in the middle of the forest, we headed back to the gate and parking lot to go home. In my opinion, a vacation to the Sikulikap waterfall is highly recommended for all people. Because the road to get to the Sikulikap waterfall is not that far and not that difficult. Just follow the path, and you can immediately meet a waterfall that provides enchanting natural beauty. If you also want to enjoy coffee in the middle of the forest, I suggest ordering hot coffee, because the air in this place is very cool. It would be strange to order iced coffee in the cool mountain weather. Thank you so much for dropping by and reading my blog. Nice to meet you.
