Wednesday walk, last walk before my trip!

I am currently driving trough Spain! And I found some old pictures on my memory card from before the starting of my trip! I made them during my last walk before the holiday!

Around my home in Zeist is a big and very beautiful nature area! I love it here and I often walk in this forest! But watch out, there is a bicycle trail trough out the forest! Its a 17km long trail and in the weekend it's very busy with cyclists!

Part of the area are closed for bicycles and peoples with dogs! in this part of the forest is a sheep herd who are maintaining the whole area! This is the gate ware only people can pass truogh!

It is a big area full of sand dunes, old trees and heather fields!

One of the trees that is left to rot is this beauty! I am photographing it for a coupe of years now and I hope I can make a nice series about it some time! I take pictures here during all the seasons and I hope to capture it more often during nice sunset's ore sunrises!

It is completely twisted, that has got something to do with the protection from the wind! At least that is what I thought!

There are many lanes and pathways towards this area! You can choose a different route every day of the week! It give you many diverse hiking routes!

I always try to end the walk at this pond! Here I can make nice reflection pictures during sunset! And it is closer to my home! so the walk trough the dark forest is not that long!
