Saturday walk around National park in Killarney

Hello hello my dear friends from hive. At Saturday it was wonderful day I was taking a walk in national park in Killarney. The purpose of the visit was to find red deers.

Half of the way I couldn't find any deer on any field but instead my long walk was all the way from the Gate of the National Park towards the Ross Castle

Here you can see the Ross Castle.
Well it's only the top part of the Ross Castle

Few metres from where I took first image I took the second one. You can see the yellow flowers in the lake it's covered with it.

It was quite nice walk.. well obviously I was not alone that day.. My husband an stepson were making me company. Or maybe I was making them but overall that walk around the National park seemed like it will never end because I couldn't find any deer in those woods 😍
We stopped for a cup of coffee at Ross Castle.. Enjoyed the view

Lots of fisherman were on their boats, few boats with tourists.

After a coffee we continued to explore the park.
On our way there was lots of Carriages with tourists..

I could only imagine how much is a ride with this.
On gap of dunloe one ride for 3 people is 80€.. And here they can fit 8 people..
I have found on the hallway old fortress and ruined boat.
Scenary around me was amazing

And finally after long walk on almost the end of our tour we found Red deer

Look at that beautiful velvety Antlers
You could see those antlers peaking out of the tall dry grass

. That field was full of them.. So beautiful..
National Park in Killarney is home for biggest population of red deer. Around 12th century they were known to Normans people. They were hunting them down for food purposes.

Now they are inhabitants in national park in Killarney.
They are always in safe distance from people.. But close enough to see them 😍

Enjoy in this small footage of them.

This is the route where I went and how long did it last

#strava apk is amazing for keeping track where I go and how much I've done.

Enjoy your day my dear friends
