It's already Wednesday, my day has been without major incidents, there are few variations compared to other calm days in my daily #life. So, today's record is probably a bit short, but I'll try to keep it interesting, after all, I found a celebratory date for today on the calendar that made me think about some things in #History and our ephemeris.
On this day, the second of August, I found out that it is 'Coloring Book Day'... I knew there was a #Book Day in April, but I didn't know there was a specific day of celebration for a book of #illustrations or drawings to color. It was a surprise, and I realized that it seems to have started as a national day in the United States (several decades ago), while its internationalization is being promoted as a date of celebration in the rest of the world for a few years.

Es ya miércoles, mi día ha sido sin mayores incidencias, hay pocas variaciones con respecto a otros días calmados en mi #vida cotidiana. Encontré interesante que, tal como sucede con otras fechas de celebración que he visto recientemente, el origen es norteamericano, lo que me lleva a pensar sobre la cuestión de la dominación cultural de una sociedad y un sistema de valores que se internacionalizó y alcanzó su máxima expresión luego de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, pero que ya desde el siglo XIX se estaba observando como el ‘American Way’.

Bien, por ahora el día no es una celebración internacional reconocida por alguna organización internacional, al menos hasta donde puede encontrar, pero me gustó que hubiera una fecha como esta. Los libros ilustrados para colorear son cosas que recuerdo de mi #infancia, puesto que hace décadas que se usan como una herramienta atractiva para el entrenamiento de la motricidad fina de los niños y niñas, es decir, tenemos un movimiento motor grueso, o tosco, que permite agarre de fuerza con la mano, con poca precisión en su desempeño, pero cuando practicamos movimiento motor fino (a partir de los 4 o 5 años) comenzamos a colorear siguiendo un contorno, vamos aprendiendo a controlar el movimiento de la mano, el brazo y los dedos, para lograr una mayor precisión.
Obviamente que cuando comenzamos con esto, siendo niños, nos salimos de las líneas, combinamos colores raros y desatamos una creatividad bastante llamativa. Todo es parte del proceso de aprendizaje.
Por cierto, desde los años 90, me encontré que la idea de usar libros de colorear como parte de tratamientos contra el estrés nocivo o perjudicial, fue una de las tantas cosas que se probó para tratar este flagelo de la vida moderna. Eso dio origen a libros con modelos de mandalas, paisajes, #ilustraciones de fantasía, y muchas otras temáticas, pero todos ellos como materiales de #dibujo lineal que estaban vacíos de color, estaban allí para ser coloreados, ya sea siguiendo un molde realista o desatando nuestra #creatividad.

Personally, I enjoy these things, I don't have great artistic ability, so following a guide to create an image pleases me, it's not just sticking to the instructions, but you can contribute something of your own. Do you want to paint a landscape where the sky is green, and the grass is golden? You can do it. Do you want to paint a lion's face with more colors than a rainbow? You can, too, even if your lion happens to look like the face of some colorful mandrill as a result (personal smile).
It's kind of relaxing, and I haven't done it for a long time, I guess it's not a bad idea to look for some free templates online and download one of these someday to make some drawings. En lo personal, disfruto de estas cosas, no tengo gran habilidad artística, así que seguir una guía para ir creando una imagen me agrada, no es simplemente apegarse a las instrucciones, sino que se puede aportar algo propio. ¿Quieres pintar un paisaje en que el cielo es de tonos verdes y el pasto es dorado? Puedes hacerlo. ¿Quieres pintar el rostro de un león con más colores que un arcoíris? También puedes hacerlo, incluso si resulta que tu león se parece a la cara de algún colorido mandril como resultado.
Es algo relajante, y tengo tiempo que no lo hago, supongo que no es una mala idea buscar algunos moldes gratuitos en línea y descargarlos algún día de estos para hacer algunos dibujos.
