It Went by Fast, But It was Nice While It Lasted
We visited Rochester Hills, a nice downtown area with restaurants, bakeries and interesting stores.
The Hotel
We stayed at the Royal Park Hotel, which was much bigger and fancier than we even imagined.
Very clean and spacious - and because of the time of year, very empty and quiet.
Our room had a four-post bed, next to some very large windows. The sunshine beamed in making it very pleasant. It was very well insulated and it was soooo quiet in the room.
Dinner
For dinner, we visited the Rochester Mills Brewery, famous for their craft beers and good food.
No mask requirements, except for the sheep. (Rochester mills used to be a wool factory)
We tried to hold ourselves back from drinking too much beer. :-)
After Party
We came back to the hotel and enjoyed some wine and dark chocolate. We snuggled into bed and had a movie night on the iPad (free wifi).
Breakfast
We got up late and packed up our stuff from the room and checked out. Then we left for "Brunch" at the Rochester Brunch House.
Moses tried bread for the first time and he thought it was wonderful! "So this is what food tastes like?"
A Fun Evening Out
It was very a pleasant evening and morning. We enjoyed good food, good company and experienced living a "rich life" for a time. It was the USD equivalent of about 20 HIVE per hour total for this experience, including room, parking, dining and shopping.
Not too shabby!
