MOTHERS' DAY: MY LITTLE PIECE

I was just about to google something this afternoon because my phone has been down for half of today and then I saw the google design at the top there...I clicked it and it gave the result of the whole Mother's Day page.

The screenshot

Well, to start with...
There is a song that is generally used to eulogize mothers in my tribe which goes thus:

Iya ni wura iyebiye (Mothers are priceless gold)
Ti a ko le fowo ra (which money can not buy)
Oroyin mi fosu mesan (she carried me in her womb for nine months)
o pon mi fodun meta (she carried me on her back for 3 years)
iya ni wura iyebiye ti a ko le fowo ra....!! (Mothers are priceless gold which money cannot buy)

You can see the design in the screenshot showing the hand of a baby holding that of the mother. From conception, the bond between a mother and a child is natural and like a three-fold cord that cannot be broken come what may! The average period of nine months is never an easy feat because I have been around some expectant women and I know how they feel at times. And then, when the child is born, constant care and attention have to be given to the baby such that if the child does not eat, eating is not an option as well for the mother. An average mother cares for her child even more than herself.

The three-fold cord I said earlier extends to far more than when a child is still a toddler till they grow up to be an adult. Even when an adult misbehaves and society condemns it, the mother still finds a way to reinvigorate her child and stay by him no matter the situation. This is why when a mother goes to the great beyond, the void left can not be filled.

Shout out to every mother that is trying their very best for not just their children but the family at large. You know, they say, it is the way the average home is how a nation would be. So, this implies that every mother is a nation builder.

Mothers are real gold, indeed! Mothers are gold which money can't buy! For me, I will extend to say that parents are golden.

But conversely, just like @prayzz said in one of his posts here as to why do they celebrate Mothers' day plenteous time in a year and Fathers' Day is almost unrecognizedor scanty. Well, I don't want to be on a side cos there are no sides to this and I am going to be a father someday. But fathers need to be appreciated very well too, cos they had been the ones supporting too in any way they could.
