Sango Milk Vermicelli - A Dessert made of Sago Seeds, Mango, Milk and Vermicelli.. 😋

Hello All. How are you, trust doing well.

Its a new Sunday and I am back with my new creation. This time a dessert.

Actually what happened my son was telling me to prepare some dessert or any sweet dish from last couple of days but I was bit busy and was not able to prepare any dessert. Yesterday night we had late dinner almost midnight which is normal on a Saturday night, again he asked me, mommy why you are not making any dessert, I am really craving for something sweet. I felt bad and then and there decided to prepare something which I never tried earlier with all the ingredients available at my home. As my son really likes mangoes and its being mango season, mangoes are mostly available at my home, so I thought I will make something with mango.

I made this dessert yesterday late night because today being Sunday I will not be in hurry to wake up early and rush to work, at the same time I wanted to make my son feel good that because he wanted to have dessert I am preparing it in midnight for him. 🥰

No more further story, let's start the recipe.

:: INGREDIENTS ::

  1. Ripe Mangoes - 3 Nos.
  2. Sago Pearls/Seeds (Tapioca Seeds) - 1 Small Cup
  3. Vermicelli - 1 Small Cup
  4. Milk - 300 ML
  5. Sugar - 1 Small Cup (As per required sweetness)
  6. Mixed Nuts (Cashew, Almonds, Raisins or any choice of Nuts) - As required
  7. Fresh cream - 100 Gr (Optional)
  8. Strawberry - 1 no. for garnishing (Optional)

:: PREPARATION ::

Wash and soak Sago seeds and for 10/15 minutes. Crush the nuts. Wash the mangoes, remove the skin and cut into small pieces. Makes puree of 2 mangoes and keep 1 mango aside to use as pieces.

:: RECIPE ::

Pour milk in a pan and keep it on the stove for boiling.

When it starts boiling add washed and soaked sago seeds into it.

Then add roasted vermicelli.

Add resins and crushed nuts.

Keep the flame low and let it cook until it becomes thick, vermicelli becomes soft and sago seeds become translucent.

Lastly add sugar, stir it for 1-2 minutes and switch off the flame. Let it cool on room temperature. Now we can add fresh cream to make it more creamy. However I forgot to add cream and its totally optional.

Once completely cool, add mango puree and mango pieces. Reserve some mango pieces for garnishing. Keep it in refrigerator to become cold.

Our Sango Milk Vermicelli dessert is ready.

For serving take a dessert glass put some mango pieces at bottom and pour the dessert in the glass.

Garnish with more mango pieces, crushed nuts and strawberry.

It tastes best when chilled.

I hope you like my preparation. Looking forward for your support and up votes.

See you next week with my new creation.

Till then.. Byee.. Stay happy and blessed..
