Hello everyone, it’s another week for the hivelearners creative Sunday and I’m super excited that I got this opportunity to share an entry with you all today. So for my entry for today’s creative Sunday. I did a cover of RUNNING BY LOJAY AND AYRA STARR. I learnt this song about 2 years ago and I did a cover of it back then and today I’m making the second cover but an acapella version.
Running is a song that speaks of a girl who has been heart broken and that has made her shield her heart so it doesn’t get broken again. So many times when we find ourselves in love with someone, even though they don’t love us the way we love them, we are sometimes tempted to keep being persistent and depending on how persistent we are, we might indeed get what we want but then at that point we might be more prone to heartbreaks because we know how hard it was for us to get to the stage we are.
The more we try to see reasons with them, the more we be like scapegoats and when we see someone in similar situations, we just laugh or easily relate because we know we’ve been there before. As they say, never advise someone in love because they won’t ever agree with you, lol. Heartbreak is real and even though it’s easy for some people to walk away from it, it’s also just as hard for some others to walk away. Nowadays, we see people finding it hard to believe in love because they’ve been scapegoats more than not.
Personally, I’m scared of heartbreaks and I guess that is why I can relate so well with this song, hehe. I don’t want to get my heart broken so I don’t want to love no more (until when it is just inevitable). I’ve been hurt before and I’ve hurt people too and trust me when I say I’m tired of hurting people (although I can’t control it most times) and that is why I have had to take some decisions for myself so it’s better they just call me a stubborn girl or whatever but I know it’s for the greater good and I don’t want to care or worry about it too much, hehe.
I didn’t get my heart broken recently though but after looking for which song to sing this was the one that came to mind and I totally enjoyed making this cover and I do hope you enjoy it as well. It has actually been a while I made a creative Sunday post and I was just so determined to do something today and here is it!! 🤗.
