๐ŸŒŸ Creative Sunday Special: Cheesy Veggie Steamed Savory Cake ๐ŸŒŸ

This Sunday, Iโ€™m excited to share something delicious and creative for Creative Sunday โ€“ my special Cheesy Moong Dal breakfast. Itโ€™s not only healthy but also packed with the goodness of moong dal, veggies, and thanks to a cheesy surprise inside.
I love experimenting with food, and this dish was perfect for Creative Sunday because it combines health, creativity, and taste all in one.
Hereโ€™s how I made this dish special for Creative Sunday:
๐™„๐™ฃ๐™œ๐™ง๐™š๐™™๐™ž๐™š๐™ฃ๐™ฉ๐™จ-
๐ŸŒธ1 cup soaked moong dal (green gram)
๐ŸŒธ1/2 cup semolina (suji)
๐ŸŒธ2 tablespoon bessn (gramflour)
๐ŸŒธ1/2 cup yogurt (dahi)
๐ŸŒธ1 small onion
๐ŸŒธ1 carrot
๐ŸŒธ1 capsicum
๐ŸŒธchilli flakes
๐ŸŒธ cheese cubes
๐ŸŒธSalt
๐ŸŒธ a pinch of baking soda
๐ŸŒธoil for greasing the molds

๐™ƒ๐™ค๐™ฌ ๐™„ ๐™ˆ๐™–๐™™๐™š ๐™„๐™ฉ:

๐™‚๐™ง๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™™ ๐™ฉ๐™๐™š ๐™ˆ๐™ค๐™ค๐™ฃ๐™œ ๐˜ฟ๐™–๐™ก-
I started by soaking the moong dal and grinding it into a smooth paste.

๐™‹๐™ง๐™š๐™ฅ๐™–๐™ง๐™š ๐™ซ๐™š๐™œ๐™œ๐™ž๐™š๐™จ-
Chop the carrot, capsicum, and tomato finely using a chopper. I forgot about the onion earlier, so chop that as well.

๐™‹๐™ง๐™š๐™ฅ๐™–๐™ง๐™š ๐™ฉ๐™๐™š ๐˜ฝ๐™–๐™ฉ๐™ฉ๐™š๐™ง-
Next, I mixed the moong dal paste with semolina (suji) , besan and yogurt to create a fluffy batter. Then I added some salt, and let it rest for about 10 minutes.


๐˜ผ๐™™๐™™ ๐™ซ๐™š๐™œ๐™œ๐™ž๐™š๐™จ-
Stir in the chopped onions, grated carrots, tomato and capsicum for added flavor and texture.

๐˜ผ๐™™๐™™ ๐˜ฝ๐™–๐™ ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œ ๐™Ž๐™ค๐™™๐™–:
Just before steaming, mix in the baking soda to make light and fluffy.

๐™‡๐™–๐™ฎ๐™š๐™ง ๐™ฉ๐™๐™š ๐˜ฝ๐™–๐™ฉ๐™ฉ๐™š๐™ง ๐™–๐™ฃ๐™™ ๐˜พ๐™๐™š๐™š๐™จ๐™š:
Grease the molds with oil .
๐™๐™ž๐™ง๐™จ๐™ฉ ๐™‡๐™–๐™ฎ๐™š๐™ง -Add a spoonful of batter into each mold.
๐˜พ๐™๐™š๐™š๐™จ๐™š ๐™‡๐™–๐™ฎ๐™š๐™ง-Place a cube of cheese or a small spoonful of grated cheese on top of the batter.
๐™๐™ค๐™ฅ ๐™‡๐™–๐™ฎ๐™š๐™ง -Cover the cheese with another spoonful of batter, making sure the cheese is fully enclosed.

๐™Ž๐™ฉ๐™š๐™–๐™ข-
Place the i molds in the steamer and steam on medium heat for about 10-12 minutes.

๐™Ž๐™š๐™ง๐™ซ๐™š ๐™ƒ๐™ค๐™ฉ-
Once steamed, take the cake out of the molds and serve them hot.

To attract the kids, I steamed the cake in an ice cream mold, which they thoroughly enjoyed.
