Hoy decidí salir un rato a tomar un delicioso café en las cercanías de mi casa. Así que me dirigí a Páramo Café que es una tienda que ofrece una amplia variedad de cafés y se pueden acompañar con deliciosas tortas, pasteles y sándwiches.
Today I decided to go out for a while to have a delicious coffee in the vicinity of my house. So I headed to Páramo Café which is a shop that offers a wide variety of coffees and can be accompanied with delicious cakes, pastries and sandwiches.
Este es uno de mis sitios preferidos para degustar una taza de café caliente, ya que además de ofrecer un café con un sabor y aroma especial, sus instalaciones son espaciosas, con una iluminación y decoración especial que hacen del lugar un sitio muy acogedor.
This is one of my favourite places to enjoy a cup of hot coffee, because besides offering a coffee with a special flavour and aroma, its rooms are spacious, with special lighting and decoration that make the place a very welcoming place.
Esta marca tiene algunos años funcionando en Caracas y hay varias sucursales en distintas zonas de la ciudad, además de eso, fue una de las pioneras en imponer la venta de café como una actividad atractiva y moderna que le da un toque especial a la ciudad. Este lugar tiene muy buena reputación entre los tomadores de café ya que dicen que es muy buen café cosechado en los Andes venezolanos y cuenta con un cuidadoso proceso de selección de sus granos que le dan un sabor inconfundible a este café.
This brand has been operating in Caracas for some years and there are several branches in different areas of the city. Besides that, it was one of the pioneers in imposing the sale of coffee as an attractive and modern activity that gives a special touch to the city. This place has a very good reputation among coffee drinkers as they say that it is very good coffee harvested in the Venezuelan Andes and has a careful selection process of its beans that give an unmistakable flavour to this coffee.
Una vez que llego a la tienda hablo con los chicos que atienden la clientela y me informo de los precios y de las distintas clases de café que venden: café bombón, espresso, americano, latte, guayoyo, capuccino. Además pregunto por las tortas y observo las que hay en el mostrador. Hay de chocolate, marmoleada, de frutas, con maní, así como panecillos y sandwiches.
Once I get to the shop, I talk to the guys serving the customers and find out about the prices and the different kinds of coffee they sell: bonbon coffee, espresso, Americano, latte, guayoyo, cappuccino. I also ask about the cakes and look at the ones on the counter. There are chocolate, marbled, fruit, with peanuts, as well as rolls and sandwiches.
Me decido por un cafe "latte" y un trozo de torta marmoleada. El café estuvo muy espumoso y la torta estuvo muy rica, con la mezcla de chocolate y vainilla, que la hacían muy suave y fresca.
I decide on a latte and a piece of marbled cake. The coffee was very frothy and the cake was very tasty, with the mixture of chocolate and vanilla making it very smooth and fresh.
Después de degustar mi delicioso café con postre comienzo a indagar el lugar. Es una casa amplia, con historia, que ofrece varias salas con decoraciones muy bonitas en las que se muestran repisas con grandes frascos que contienen granos de café
After tasting my delicious coffee with dessert I start to investigate the place. It is a spacious house with history, offering several beautifully decorated rooms with shelves displaying large jars containing coffee beans

Sigo explorando el lugar que es muy agradable. Observo una foto del casco central de Caracas donde se encuentra la cafetería y en ella se pueden ver los sitios icónicos de la ciudad como el Capitolio, el Palacio de las Academias, así como importantes edificaciones que conforman esta parte de la ciudad.
I continue to explore the place which is very pleasant. I look at a photo of the central part of Caracas where the cafeteria is located and in it you can see the iconic sites of the city such as the Capitolio, the Palacio de las Academias, as well as important buildings that configure this part of the city.
También tienen a la venta el café molido en varias presentaciones. La próxima vez traeré más dinero para comprarme aunque sea un paquete pequeño. Será una maravilla poder prepararlo en la casa.
They also have ground coffee for sale in various presentations. Next time I will bring more money to buy even a small packet. It will be wonderful to be able to prepare it at home.
Llega el momento de retirarme a la casa y me despido de los chicos que atienden en el mostrador y me dicen que vuelva la próxima semana. Les digo que regresaré por otro café, eso sí, un poco más oscuro que el que me prepararon el día de hoy.
It's time for me to go home and I say goodbye to the guys at the counter and they tell me to come back next week. I tell them I'll be back for another coffee, a little darker than the one they made me today.
