Hello, friends especially foodies!

Recently I saw Instagram post of one of the most favorite cafe here, it told that to celebrate their 33th birthday, they would sell all their menus with one price, 33K IDR only. And this promotion would take place in all of their branches except for Equity building that would only sell beverages with that price.

Anyway this cafe is famous for its' coffee of course and i actually haven't had coffee for a long time.

To prove what they posted in their instagram is easy. On the first day of their promotion, i went to one of their nearest branch, in Central Park. But oh no, when i arrived there at 10.30 am many customers had already been there, even mostly that came before me were still queueing up in front of the cafe.

When i asked one of the waiter at front, they said that they didn't know when would the time for us could come in. The rule was only they would take note of our name and phone number then they would contact us when we could finally enter their cafe. But they didn't give any period of time for any visit which means we could wait until forever haha. Lol. But, i gave up that day, if we insisted want to eat there, we might have a try tomorrow and we should wait even before the cafe open.

Next day, because it was still early in the morning and even the mall had not opened yet because it was still before 9 am, we queued up in the cafe's side gate in order to get into the cafe. The waiter made us queue up there. Then he called our name one by one, which mean we could find a table for us to eat. Lucky for us, we still could come in and didn't have to eat outdoor that day (a bright hot sunny day) plus we were so lucky that we could enter the cafe without anymore waiting.

It was not easy to get in there. You could see that we could get the table inside. Many customers around us. They also looked for table for themselves.

Still the morning but many came there, looked like their birthday celebration promotion could attract too many customers, right? Eventhough it was crowded, like usually they had a cozy dining room where we could dine in, have coffee and chit chat of course.

When we wanted to order, i was a bit upset because they said that they had already (they said) sold out one of the most expensive food menu which i thought was impossible (yeah it was still early morning)....... plus they said to prepare it all they would need more time than they usually need. In order to get the food and beverages would take an hour or two, well okay we already there so we took the concequence of waiting.

Well without anymore talking, just take a look at their menu. I am sorry that the menu was a bit messy. I took the photo randomly. Well, they had lots of menu there, even too many.

You could see, for the beverages they had fusion bliss like green chocomint frappio, orchio frappio, banana milk, banana coffee, chai latte, smoky cream tea, avocado almond, choco almond. They also had their favorites there like avocado coffee, durian coffee. For you to know they put love sign in order to show their favorite menus. Still in coffee beverage, they also had ultimate frappio series like cookies and cream, aren, nutty, choco chip and caramel jelly. While for their signature drinks they had quite vary (from non coffee to coffee), they had aromatic spices tea, magic purple, ini teh kopi, cendol latte, rante karua latte, sparkling lemonade coffee, virgin yellow mojito, sparkling yuzu jasmine, mega mocha shake, mango tango smoothies and mocha jelly shake. Plus they also had their classic coffee such as espresso, double espresso, hot/iced americano, capuccino and so on. Actually they had still many beverages so that i couldn't take pictures of them all.

For the food menu, they also had vary menus. From the flavors of Indonesia like chicken ragout, selat solo, crispy fried tempeh, banyuwangi spicy chicken, sweet potato brulee, rib rawon (which they said sold out), fried noodle, and fried rice. For the main course, they had variations of dory fish.. They also had sandwich, crispy cassava, banana wrap, beef nachos, seafood sampler and chicken mushroom quesadilla.

And also many other menus like kind of snacks, kind of salad and kind of rice.

I have a conclusion that this cafe had complete menu, which could compare to restaurant. Plus they had their incredible coffees as a plus added value than restaurants.

We then just waiting for our orders to come. The food and beverage that we ordered didn't come together. They came one by one. First that came was dory en oats with french fries then mocha jelly shake, signature club sandwich and last, avocado coffee. Then now it is the time that you've been waiting for, i would like to share how their taste and flavour. To appreciate the community, i would like to start from the coffee beverages that we ordered. By the way as an additional information, we only ordered their favorite best seller menus that day.

MOCHA JELLY SHAKE

Mocha jelly shake they had was a combination of refreshing chilled coffee, mixed with mocha ice cream and coffee jelly.

I never had this kinda coffee before so it was my first time. First when i had it, i could taste the coffee they put in it, it had medium strength of coffee, it tasted so great, i loved that it was not sour. It also had tasty mocha combination of flavour in it that brought special taste, plus it served with tasty coffee jelly which had a bit chewy not hard nor soft texture. Served chilled, what a tasty coffee drink we had! No wonder it become one of their favorite menu there. And it made me in love with coffee, because i could still have it without having any gastric back!

AVOCADO COFFEE

Avocado coffee they provided made of fresh avocado, premium vanilla ice cream, coffee, and sprinkled with shaved of dark chocolate.

Their avocado coffee that day felt a bit strange. I mean it had strong avocado flavour from the juice it had, but it tasted not fresh anymore, like they juiced it some hours before, maybe they made it as the anticipation for customwr invasion. Plus the coffee they put had no flavour at all. The relief was just the tasty vanilla ice cream which had medium sweetness and the shaved dark chocolate they put on the top.

I am sure it was a mistake made that day, they put less coffee than it usually in this beverage they made or they even didn't pur any coffees at all. So we felt unsatisfied with this avocado coffee menu that day.

DORY EN OATS WITH FRENCH FRIES

This menu was fresh dory fillet coated in crushed oats and fried to a crunchy crispy finish. It also served with tartar sauce and also french fries.

The dory tasted soft inside with crunchy but soft texture for the outside skin. They made it well done with savory flavour. It also served with tartar sauce which brought sour, sweet and savory flavour. The minus was the fries it served with were not warm anymore which made it less tastier than it's usually.

Overall, this dory menu was tasty and a big chance for us to come back and had this menu again.

SIGNATURE CLUB SANDWICH

This was totally a big healthy sandwich that had many filling, like tender grilled chicken slices, smoked beef, sliced hard boiled egg, thick out onion, juicy tomato slices and crispy lettuce.

Although this menu is one of their favorite, and also my favorite since my childhood time, but that day they made it carelessly. Why i said so? Because they put less filling than it is usually so it had not taste tasty like it is usually anymore. Like less smoked beef means less savory, and they also used less chicken and also veggies. I think they should still hold their quality even when they give promotion to reduce the price, right? How do you think of it?

Well, all of their menus were truly just 33K that day (but it was excluded service charge and also tax), no wonder many customers were there, but telling you that over decades this cafe is still popular and attracts many customers even when they has no promotions at all so yes eventhough i was a bit upset that day with their menus but i still would recommend you to come to this cafe when they don't have any promotions... I recommend this cafe to you because it provides good coffee (no promotion better), good food with good ambience too and of course i would come back for their coffee!
