Daily punishment: Someone disfigured his face until he became an orc

What?

The tattoo artist's goal was to resemble a character from The Lord of the Rings. Spoiler: he succeeded, but to do this he even cut off his nose.

There are many things a fan can do to express their admiration or to get closer to their favourite person, most of them stop at social media followers, logoed clothing or maybe cosplay. But there are also those who go further and go to extremes to get attention or express themselves.

The Lord of the Rings franchise, for example, has a huge fanbase (it is no coincidence that John Rhys-Davies, who plays Gimli, is travelling to Budapest Comic Con) and you see fans dressed as orcs at every major geek event, but one Brazilian tattoo artist did not stopped at make-up.

Who?

Fernando Franco de Oliveira underwent a major physical transformation to resemble the orcs from the Lord of the Rings films. The man told CTV News Canada that it took him ten years to get tattoos on his body and a number of surgeries, including ear surgery, a nose job and a tongue separation.

He had black ink injected into his eyes, horns put on his head, his teeth replaced with vampire dentures and the skin on his head painted blue.

According to Oliveira, the most life-changing body modification was the trimming of his nose: it is still very painful for him, because he gets a lot of water in her nose when he showers. However, by his own admission, he is not done yet, as he wants to have more skin removed from his face, slim his jaw, and get bigger horns on his head.

Why?

The question arises why anyone would do this to themselves, but the tattoo artist has the answer: he believes that most people in the world are the same, and he wanted to be different, to stand out. Well, he succeeded.
