Train station art

There is an exhibit of whimsical sculptures by Ron Baron at Chicago's Damen station (CTA Brown line) that appear to be furniture. If you look closer, they look like furniture made of stacked luggage. And if you look even closer you will see tiny sculptures of travel scenes tucked between the bronzed suitcases and luggage.

I must admit that my first thought upon seeing them was that these were forgotten pieces of luggage left on the train and someone had stacked them up into a sort of creative lost and found!

Titled "American Tourister", the bronze castings are of assorted vintage suitcases, chairs and briefcases that were collected from thrift stores and yard sales. They are fun sculptures for an art installation in a train station!
