Kung Hei Fat Choi! Happy weekend, amazing people, and happy Chinese New Year to all my friends who celebrate it. I was checking my notification and I almost missed @friendlymoose's post I was tagged in. I was off for three months and am just now trying to get back on track.
So anyway, I think this is a perfect topic for this post. My daughter and I had to take a weekend walk earlier in the afternoon before sunset. We decided to go to a Taoist temple (Macho Temple) located in San Fernando, La Union, which is not very far from where we live. It is a 7-story building in a calm and peaceful elevated setting with a beach view.
Tomorrow is the celebration of Chinese New Year, and we just got lucky; the temple was open when we arrived. We have been there a couple of times, and we rarely get good timing.
The temple has no entrance fee and is open to all, whether you are a Taoist, Buddhist, Christian, Muslim, and so on. It is open daily and closes at 5 p.m. We were there until the sunset, and it was just the perfect time to visit and take photographs. And this is my entry for the POB Photo Contest this week. I hope I am not late yet.
