En el laboratorio puede hacerse por varias técnicas dentro de las cuales está la inmunoaglutinacion de particular de látex, turbidimetria y otros.

Mientras que la segunda prueba de PCR (Polymerase chain reaction) por sus siglas en inglés o Reacción en Cadena de la Polimerasa es una técnica de biologia molecular que se emplea en el laboratorio para amplificar e identificar el material genético de una muestra o algún patógeno. Esta sirve como prueba de paternidad y en la actualidad es de útil importancia a la hora de identificar al virus SARS-CoV-2 que produce el covid-19. Es una prueba muy sensible y con un alto grado de especificidad; por poco representativa que sea la muestra está detecta el virus.
The second PCR (Polymerase chain reaction) test is a molecular biology technique used in the laboratory to amplify and identify the genetic material of a sample or pathogen. It serves as a paternity test and is currently of useful importance in identifying the SARS-CoV-2 virus that produces covid-19. It is a very sensitive test with a high degree of specificity; no matter how unrepresentative the sample is, it detects the virus.
