Buen día a todos amigos de hive, hoy quiero comentarles un poco acerca de unos de los estilos de baile más populares e interesantes al nivel mundial, sí, estoy hablando del Breaking o mejor conocido por su nombre comercial “Break dance”, que más que un simple baile se ha convertido a lo largo del tiempo en un estilo de vida, que afecta totalmente tu vida cotidiana, tu forma de caminar, de vestirte, de ser y expresar tus sentimientos.

Good day to all friends of hive, today I want to comment a little about one of the most popular and interesting dance styles worldwide, yes, I'm talking about Breaking dance or better known by its trade name "Break dance", which more than a simple dance has become over time in a lifestyle, which totally affects your daily life, your way of walking, dressing, being and expressing your feelings.

El breaking(Break dance), empezó en los “70s” por comunidades afro-americanas en los barrios neoyorquinos del Bronx y Brooklyn, principalmente en esa época, fue usada como un medio para resolver riñas y disgustos entre bandas mafiosas, pero fue hasta la los años 80s, que se hiso un estilo de baile conocido, gracias a la integración musical de distintos cantantes, entre ellos el famosísimo “James Brown”, y grandes películas, como lo es Breakin’ (1984). Estos hechos se convirtieron en las bases fundamentales y el comienzo de una espectacular era, que luego se extendió a diferentes países, latino-americanos y europeos.

The breaking(break dance), began in the "70s" for African-American communities in the New York neighborhoods of the Bronx and Brooklyn, mainly in that time, it was used as a means to solve quarrels and disagreements between mafia bands, but it was until the 80s, that a well-known style of dance was made, thanks to the musical integration of different singers, among them the famous "James Brown ", and great movies, as it is Breakin' (1984). These facts became the fundamental bases and the beginning of a spectacular era, which later extended to different countries, Latin American and European.

Es un baile callejero que constituye uno de los bailes más difíciles del mundo, inclusive para los veteranos que aún lo practican. El breaking(Break dance ), se compone en esencia del body popping que es imitar los movimientos hidráulicos de un robot, el locking, que es un baile controlado donde se agita el cuerpo súbitamente volviendo a la posición original y el breaking (b-boying) que consiste en girar en el piso sin control y desafiando la Ley Gravitacional de Newton.

It is a street dance that is one of the most difficult dances in the world, even for the veterans who still practice it. The breaking dance, is composed in essence of body popping that is to imitate the hydraulic movements of a robot, locking, which is a controlled dance where the body is suddenly shaken back to the original position and the breaking (b-boying) that consists of turning on the floor without control and defying the Gravitational Law of Newton.

Al bailarín o la bailarina que está relacionada con este estilo de baile, se le conoce como Bboy si es chico, o Bgirl si es chica. El significado de esta abreviatura es crucial en toda esta historia, empecemos por la “B”, viene de Break, así que B-Boys y B-Girls significa break-boys y break-girls. Esto es porque los breakers bailaban en la parte de la pista musical que hacía un break(down). Por ello se les llamó break-boys y break-girls. Para abreviar se quedó en B-Boys y B-Girls.

The dancer who is related to this style of dance is known as Bboy if he is a boy, or Bgirl if he is a girl. The meaning of this abbreviation is crucial in this whole story, let's start with the "B", it comes from Break, so B-Boys and B-Girls means break-boys and break-girls. This is because the breakers danced on the part of the music track that made a break(down). That's why they were called break-boys and break-girls. For short it stayed B-Boys and B-Girls.

Yo me considero un Bboy, soy un gran amante y practicante de este estilo lleno de tanto floow y adrenalina, expuesto a muchos riesgos por ser muy desafiante a la hora de realizar sus movimientos, pero con la práctica y la constancia adecuada, puedes llegar a convertirte en el mejor, no se trata de cuantas veces te caigas, si no de cuantas te levantas y sigues adelante con la frente en alto, así que concéntrate, aprende y disfruta, que cada Freestyle es una fiesta, en donde tú eres la estrella.

I consider myself a Bboy, I am a great lover and practitioner of this style full of so much floow and adrenaline, exposed to many risks for being very challenging when performing their movements, but with proper practice and perseverance, you can become the best, it is not how many times you fall, but how many you get up and go forward with your head up, so focus, learn and enjoy, that every freestyle is a party, where you are the star.
