The Truths About the Truth

Contrary to what is thought in our "post-modern" era, the truth is one, and it cannot be relativized.

I remember the teachings of a professor of history, theology and philosophy I had years ago, and who is now dead, Orlando Fedeli.

In a class he gave on this topic about the question of truth, I made some notes that I would like to share here in this post.

1.The truth is one.

The truth does not have many faces, it is enough in itself.

2.Truth is universal.

That is, if there is a universal convention that such an object is, for example, a chair (and it really is a chair, which we can sit on), you don't say that the chair is a comb and that you are going to comb your hair with it. Is not true?

3.Truth is immutable.

The truth doesn't change with time. A chair will always be a chair.

4.Truth is objective.

Do not try to want to your pleasure to relativize the truth, because it is objective, clear and is proven by reason.

Unfortunately, these concepts (many of them proven and taught by great philosophers of history) are forgotten and neglected today.

Our generation no longer has knowledge, its own personality and critical sense, and they feel entitled to distort the rational concept of truth.

Good week everyone!
