Proyecto Propuesta Mascota Ciudad Vinotinto 鈿斤笍馃惐
Hola Amigos de Hive saludos desde el caribe, en esta ocasi贸n compartir茅 con ustedes el proceso creativo que realice para ilustrar un personaje para la elecci贸n de la mascota oficial para una academia de futbol llamada Ciudad Vinotinto ac谩 en Venezuela, ellos est谩n realizando un concurso abierto as铆 que me anime a crear esta propuesta inspirada en la fauna aut贸ctona de nuestro pa铆s, si bien son muchas las especies que habitan ac谩 en Venezuela yo me puse a investigar un poco cuales eran las especies que se encontraban en grave peligro de extinci贸n y me decante por una llamada (LEAPARDUS WIEDII) conocido tambi茅n como, Gato Tigre, Tigrillo, entre otros nombres.

Hello Friends of Hive greetings from the Caribbean, this time I will share with you the creative process that I carried out to illustrate a character for the election of the official mascot for a soccer academy called Ciudad Vinotinto here in Venezuela, they are making an open contest so I was encouraged to create this proposal inspired by the native fauna of our country, although there are many species that live here in Venezuela I began to investigate a little which were the species that were in serious danger of extinction and I opted for a call (LEAPARDUS WIEDII) also known as, Gato Tigre, Tigrillo, among other names.
La caza indiscriminada y la destrucci贸n de su ecosistema son las principales razones por las cuales este animal se encuentra en peligro de extinci贸n, es importante despertar la consciencia y entender lo grave del asunto, se estima que dentro de 20 a帽os m谩s de 5000 mil especies de animales podr铆an desaparecer de la tierra.

Indiscriminate hunting and the destruction of its ecosystem are the main reasons why this animal is in danger of extinction, it is important to raise awareness and understand the seriousness of the matter, it is estimated that within 20 years more than 5000 thousand species of animals could disappear from the earth.
Lo primero que hice fue buscar algunas im谩genes referenciales sobre el Tigrillo, para poder realizar la ilustraci贸n con mayor detalle y facilidad.
Realice el Boceto en blanco y negro del personaje al que llame (VINI) El Cunaguaro Mart铆nez (Mi hijo insisti贸 que le pusiera Apellido Mart铆nez) 馃ぃ haciendo alusi贸n a VINOTINTO, Nombre de la escuela y color que representa a nuestra selecci贸n de futbol nacional.
Me gusta mucho las ilustraciones estilo Cartoon y creo que para este proyecto quedo muy bien ya que la principal raz贸n es ser la mascota del club deportivo donde hacen vida cientos de ni帽os y j贸venes que est谩n iniciando en la disciplina, quise hacer algo agradable a la vista de ellos.

Make the black and white Sketch of the character you call (VINI) El Cunaguaro Mart铆nez (My son insisted that I give him Last Name Mart铆nez) 馃ぃ alluding to VINOTINTO, Name of the school and color that represents our selection of national soccer.
I really like Cartoon-style illustrations and I think that for this project it is very good since the main reason is to be the mascot of the sports club where hundreds of children and young people who are starting in the discipline live, I wanted to do something pleasing to the eye from them.
TECHNIQUE: DIGITAL ILLUSTRATION / CARTOON STYLE 馃憟
STEP 1 (SKETCH)
Lo primero siempre es vectorizar la ilustraci贸n antes de ponerle color.
STEP 2 (FLAT COLORS)
Una vez ya tengo el boceto vectorizado lo que hago es elegir la paleta de colores y relleno con colores planos la ilustraci贸n para separar las zonas y tener mas claridad de lo que busco. en este caso use un ligero degradado para el cuerpo de VINI
STEP 3 (LIGHTS, SHADOWS AND HALF TONES)
Ya en esta fase una vez ya tengo coloreada la ilustraci贸n con los colores base, me ocupo de colocar los medios tonos, luces y sombras en la imagen para darle mas vida a la ilustraci贸n y as铆 quede mas bonito y con mas profundidad el arte.
