The father of democracy in Nigeria

Today, Nigeria is celebrating democracy day which is June 12 before it was celebrated every May 29th but President Muhammad
Buhari change the date last year in honour of a heroin, philanthropist, business man and politician in person of MKO Abiola.

He was born 24 August 1937 in Abeokuta. Abiola was twenty third child and first to survive childhood because every time his mother gave birth they died and only Abiola that survive so when he was born he was not given a name they call kashimawo which means it still see maybe he would survive or not. He was arrested, detained and he died 7th July 1998 in Abuja.
During June 12,1993 in Nigeria it was believe to be free and fairest election which was canceled by IBB Ibrahim Babagida Badamosi. Abiola later died
So year 2019,President Bihari honour the winner of the annulled June 12th 1993 presidential election with Grand Commander of the Federal Republic of Nigeria after years of demise.
