The Man who Killed Beatle John Lennon is Up for Parole Again...

Mark David Chapman faces New York Parole Board in latest bid for freedom

In just a few short months, the man who killed Beatle John Lennon will be up for parole for the 11th time... Holding a copy of The Catcher in the Rye, Mark David Chapman pumped five bullets into the back of the beloved Beatle on that fateful night of Monday December 8, 1980. Thus ended the dreams of many about a long-awaited for reunion of the Beatles, and the hope of his son Sean in ever seeing his father again.

Having last been denied by the parole board in 2018, I realized with horror that this sniveling coward might actually have a chance at getting out this time.

The possible excuse: coronavirus...

Seeing a number of high-profile convicts being released recently, prompted me to wonder if he would use that in order to spring free, and resume his delusions of grandeur. Could the virus that has caused such untold pain around the world, finally be the reason this monster is let out? The three surviving Beatles would be at risk, along with Yoko Ono and Lennon's sons Julian and Sean.

Remember, Chapman did this partly out of a desire for fame. Having killed John Lennon, what would make him even MORE infamous than taking out Paul McCartney? He'd then have the sole distinction of being forever known as the man who ended the lives of the famous songwriting duo known as Lennon and McCartney.

However, even if released, he'd have to be guarded like Fort Knox. I could see him being moved from safehouse to safehouse, always looking over his shoulder, never knowing when some angry Beatles fan would return the favor he gave to John Lennon 40 years ago. His current home is at the Wende Correctional Facility in Alden, NY 22 miles east of Buffalo. Convicted rapist Harvey Weinstein also shares a cell there. My hope is that the New York Parole Board allows the coward Mark David Chapman to rot in prison for the rest of his life...
