Chuao is a quiet town on the central coast of Venezuela, located in the state of Aragua. Together with the town of Cepe, it forms part of the two main tourist destinations by sea, upon reaching the town of Choroni.
It is a town mainly of artisanal fishermen and small farmers, always highlighting its world-famous Cocoa seed, currently in great demand and cultivated more than 400 years ago in its fertile valley between the beach and the mountains.
On its northern façade there is a beautiful bay with almost always calm waters. With a towering green mountain range behind.
The cultural heritage of the town of Chuao is very important, highlighting the celebrations of Los Diablos Danzantes and San Juan de Chuao, held in the middle of the year and with a large influx of tourists.
It is a quiet and safe place, perfect to rest with your partner or family and enjoy direct contact with nature and fresh air.
Both on the beach and in the town there are some inns and hotels; however, my favorite way to be in that Caribbean paradise is camping in front of the beach. Something that I always recommend doing, respecting the basic rules to carry out an activity of this type, which include not making bonfires in the sand, not leaving garbage in the place, or using chemical products, and as far as possible, trying to support commerce and local tour operators, this will be a good way to do ecological and sustainable tourism without compromising the environment.

Chuao es un tranquilo pueblo de la costa central de Venezuela, situado en el estado Aragua. Forma parte, junto al pueblo de Cepe, de los dos principales destinos turísticos por vía marítima, al llegar al pueblo de Choroni.
Es un pueblo principalmente de pescadores artesanales y pequeños agricultores, destacando siempre su mundialmente famosa semilla de Cacao, de gran demanda en la actualidad y cultivada hace más de 400 años en su fértil valle entre la playa y la montaña.
En su fachada norte se forma una hermosa bahía de aguas casi siempre calmadas. Con una imponente y verde cordillera de montaña detrás.
La herencia cultural del pueblo de Chuao es muy importante, destacando las celebraciones de Los Diablos Danzantes y el San Juan de Chuao, celebradas a mediado de año y con gran afluencia de turistas.
Es un lugar tranquilo y seguro, perfecto para descansar en pareja o en familia y disfrutar del contacto directo con la naturaleza y el aire puro.
Tanto en la playa como en el pueblo hay algunas posadas y hoteles; sin embargo, mi forma preferida de estar en ese paraíso caribeño es acampando frente a la playa. Algo que siempre recomiendo hacer, respetando las normas básicas para realizar una actividad de ese tipo, que incluyen no hacer fogatas en la arena, no dejar basura en el lugar, ni usar productos químicos, y en la medida de lo posible, tratar de apoyar el comercio y los operadores turísticos locales, esto será una buena forma de hacer turismo ecológico y sustentable, sin comprometer el medio ambiente.
