Ya vamos a cumplir un mes desde la CBW 2023 y no podía dejar más tiempo antes de echarte ese cuento de la forma más breve que consiga.
Antes de que llegara la semana del evento pude participar un poco en la organización y enterarme de algunos preparativos.
Recapitulando a las fechas, todo comenzó el 24 de octubre donde comenzaría el hackathon y algunos talleres que dictaron en las mismas instalaciones.

Ese martes me percaté que la locación estaba ubicada en un edificio al que le había pasado mucho por delante, pero jamás había entrado.

Tecnología Financiera fue el espacio que nos acogió por tres días para “desvirtualizar” a algunos conocidos de Twitter, escuchar charlas interesantes e intentar darle apoyo a nuestro equipo en el Hackathon.

Me alegré de ver caras conocidas, ver una instalación tan bien cuidada y percibir que la hora de trabajar había comenzado.

El segundo día (miércoles 25) tuvo cierta variante porque el día anterior fui más o menos por accidente. Había bajado a Caracas a hacer unas cosas y decidí acercarme a Altamira.
Pasando por la parte de atrás de Centro Plaza. Recuerdo que vi a @say-sarg que no tenía mucha idea en dónde era la cosa y estaba que si mostrándole Google Maps a un perrocalentero. Jamás alguien había saltado conmigo de emoción por verme y siempre hay primeras veces.

Ese día se logró que entrevistaran a Matt y a Enrique en la cabina de Momento Blockchain, ahí estaba colaborando nuestra querida @soymaferlopezp y aunque no estuve cerca para escuchar, parece que resultó algo bien interesante.

We are already a month away from CBW 2023 and I couldn't leave more time before telling you that story in the shortest way I can.
Before the week of the event arrived I was able to participate a little in the organization and learn about some of the preparations.
Recapping the dates, everything started on October 24 where the hackathon and some workshops were held in the same facilities.
That Tuesday I noticed that the location was in a building that I had walked past a lot, but had never entered.
Tecnología Financiera was the space that hosted us for three days to "devirtualize" some Twitter acquaintances, listen to interesting talks and try to support our team in the Hackathon.
I was happy to see familiar faces, to see such a well-kept facility and to sense that the time for work had begun.
The second day (Wednesday 25) had some variation because the day before I went more or less by accident. I had gone down to Caracas to do some things and decided to go to Altamira.
Passing by the back of Centro Plaza. I remember I saw @say-sarg who didn't have much idea where the thing was and was showing Google Maps to a hot dog. Never before had someone jumped with me out of excitement to see me and there are always first times.
That day Matt and Enrique were interviewed at the Momento Blockchain booth, our dear @soymaferlopezp was collaborating there and although I wasn't close enough to listen, it seems that it turned out to be quite interesting.

El tercer día (jueves 26), TODOS los que colaboramos en la organización teníamos que ir porque habría un workshop en el que hablarían sobre “Como construir en Hive”, y también tendríamos tiempo de compartir un rato juntos, ese día llegaron los Hivers que viven más distantes de Caracas. Entonces, estábamos emocionados por vernos.

Recuerdo que me entregaron mi credencial y otros detalles como obsequio. En retrospectiva hace un año atrás había asistido nada más a presenciar las ponencias y ahora podría colaborar en otros aspectos. Luego de terminar el workshop y el compartir, nos fuimos a cenar juntos. En algún momento, me percaté que mi batería social no daba mucho más y me alejé un rato para tener un momento a solas, y cuando @maryed me preguntó “¿Por dónde andas?”, me acerqué al grupo de nuevo.

En esta historia nos faltan los dos días que vivimos en la UCAB, ya vamos por el cuarto día (viernes 27) que comenzó muy temprano porque teníamos un transporte que nos buscaría en el Airbnb y nos llevaría a la universidad. Donde me quedé, estaba cerca de la primera parada del transporte, así que @soy-laloreto, @madefrance y yo fuimos las primeras en comenzar a rodar hasta pasar buscando a todos los demás.

Quiero felicitar por su trabajo a quienes estuvieron en stand (@ZullyScott, @jonsnow1983, @soy-laloreto, @edmundochauran, @mayvil, @joheredia21 , @miriannalis , @fermionico), a quienes estaban corriendo de un lugar a otro grabando (@guarenasflow , @maryed ,@lunaticanto) y a quienes subieron a alguna de las tarimas para presentar su ponencia sobre Hive (@jonsnow1983,@danielvehe, @arlettemsalase y @filoriologo), participar en un panel (@tsunsica y @arlettemsalase) o para moderar y animar (@alteramelia).

Ese viernes estaba de cumpleaños Camila, la hija de @joheredia21 y @francysfiore , así que, al terminar la jornada, entre los que estábamos cerca del toldo, le cantamos cumpleaños a la Hiver más joven del evento.

El día siguiente (sábado 28) terminábamos con la Caracas Blockchain Week. Ese día dirían cuál grupo ganaba el Hackathon y estaban pautadas la mayoría de las participaciones de Hive en tarima. Sentí buena receptividad de parte de quienes asistieron, aunque los estudiantes de la UCAB creo que pudieron incluirse más, ya que estábamos usando sus instalaciones.

Comenzaba a pegar el cansancio de los días anteriores, pero por lo que vi, todos estaban en lo suyo. Ya sabrás que Hive ganó un track (Los tracks consisten en objetivos secundarios, o usar diferentes tecnologías para los proyectos que participaban en el Hackathon) , se realizaron todas las ponencias de ese día, se tuvo chance para acercarse a las tarimas, tomarse fotos con algunos conocidos y apreciar la belleza de la universidad que nos permitió hacerlo posible.

Tengo presente que hace un año atrás no conocía a la mayoría de las personas que estaban participando en el evento. Este año, y aunque no los conocía a todos (fueron muchos hivers), en algún momento cuando me tocó despedirme, pude hacerlo de una larga mesa y sentir cierta satisfacción por formar parte de lo que ahí ocurría.
Agradezco haber sido tomada en cuenta y me encantó poder ver personas de otros espacios ajenos a Hive con ese interés ferviente de enseñar, mostrar en lo que están trabajando y cada quien mostrando sus habilidades de la mejor manera. Podemos continuar aprendiendo y documentándonos sobre Blockchain, aprender de otros proyectos y así ir labrando un mejor criterio.

On the third day (Thursday 26th), ALL of us who collaborated in the organization had to go because there would be a workshop in which they would talk about "How to build in Hive", and we would also have time to share some time together, that day the Hivers who live farther away from Caracas arrived. So, we were excited to see each other.
I remember that I was given my credential and other details as a gift. In retrospect, a year ago I had only attended the presentations and now I could collaborate in other aspects. After finishing the workshop and sharing, we went to dinner together. At some point, I realized that my social battery did not give much more and I walked away for a while to have a moment alone, and when @maryed asked me "Where are you going", I approached the group again.
In this story we are missing the two days we lived at UCAB, we are already on the fourth day (Friday 27) which started very early because we had a shuttle that would pick us up at the Airbnb and take us to the university. Where I stayed, was near the first stop of the shuttle, so @soy-laloreto, @madefrance and I were the first to start rolling until we passed looking for everyone else.
I want to congratulate for their work those who were at the booth (@ZullyScott, @jonsnow1983, @soy-laloreto, @edmundochauran, @mayvil, @joheredia21 , @miriannalis , @fermionico), those who were running from one place to another recording (@guarenasflow , @maryed , @lunaticanto) and to those who went up to one of the stages to present their Hive paper (@jonsnow1983,@danielvehe, @arlettemsalase and @filoriologo), participate in a panel (@tsunsica and @arlettemsalase) or to moderate and cheer (@alteramelia).
That Friday was Camila's birthday, the daughter of @joheredia21 and @francysfiore , so, at the end of the day, among those of us who were near the awning, we sang birthday to the youngest Hiver of the event.
The next day (Saturday 28th) we finished with the Caracas Blockchain Week. That day they would say which group won the Hackathon and most of Hive's participations on stage were scheduled. I felt good receptivity from those who attended, although I think UCAB students could have been included more, since we were using their facilities.
The tiredness of the previous days was starting to set in, but from what I saw, everyone was on their own. You already know that Hive won a track in the Hackathon, all the presentations were made that day, there was a chance to approach the platforms, take pictures with some acquaintances and appreciate the beauty of the university that allowed us to make it possible.
I remember that a year ago I did not know most of the people who were participating in the event. This year, although I did not know them all (there were many hivers), at some point when it was my turn to say goodbye, I was able to say goodbye to a long table and feel a certain satisfaction for being part of what was happening there.
I am grateful to have been taken into account and I was delighted to see people from other spaces outside Hive with that fervent interest to teach, show what they are working on and each one showing their skills in the best way. We can continue learning and documenting ourselves about Blockchain, learn from other projects and thus build a better criterion.
