Hola, comunidad, esta semana 44 la temática que nos propone “Praise and Worship Music” es “Libertad”. Una palabra que en sí misma es una denuncia, un reto, a veces una conquista, siempre un derecho. Nuestro Señor Jesucristo vino al mundo con el propósito de hacernos libres de las cadenas del pecado. Aún dijo: [Así que, si el Hijo os libertare, seréis verdaderamente libres.]( https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Juan%208%3A36&version=RVR1960) lo cual pueden leer en sus Biblias en el evangelio según San Juan, capítulo 8, versículo 36. Pero aunque la libertad sea un derecho de todo ser humano, hay seres inhumanos que oprimen a otros y para quienes es un delito que alguien “se atreva” a solicitar libertad. Un delito penado con cárcel, con exilio, con tortura, con muerte. Es increíble cómo el ser humano pueda tender a esclavizar al otro y que sienta satisfacción en ello. Esclavizar y subyugar y abusar del más débil a quien se le niega siquiera la posibilidad de defenderse. Acá en Venezuela acostumbramos mucho a citar el refrán “Arriba hay un Dios que para abajo ve” Pero la temática es la “Libertad”, no la opresión, así que no voy a caer en la tentación dehablar de la falta de libertad sino que hablaré acerca de la libertad. Un derecho inherente a todo ser humano, cuyos límites son establecidos por el bienestar de los otros. Mi libertad me permite hacer lo que desee con tal que no sea nocivo ni para mí misma ni para los otros. Es el buen ejercicio de la libertad. El malinterpretar la libertad y caer en excesos en nombre de ella no es libertad sino “libertinaje” y, como todo exceso, es negativo. Pero la libertad verdadera…genuina…¡Qué hermosa es! La libertad de pensamiento, de palabra. Poder poner en práctica nuestra capacidad de utilizar nuestro libre albedrío para el bien. ¿Qué epopeya vivió Moisés cuando Dios le encomendó esa bella misión de liberar a su pueblo! Y es que así como hay líderes para el mal, hay líderes para el bien. Quienes no se conforman con su libertad individual sino que quieren que los demás también puedan experimentar el ser libres. Porque Moisés era libre, considerado nieto de Faraón contaba con todas las comodidades y todas las libertades, pero no era feliz al saberse libre mientras veía la opresión de la esclavitud de Israel. Cubra Dios a nuestro pueblo con Su Gracia y Su Misericordia, perdone nuestras culpas y permita que podamos todos experimentar la libertad, nuestro derecho.

Hello, community, this week 44 the theme that “Praise and Worship Music” proposes to us is “Freedom”. A word that in itself is a denunciation, a challenge, sometimes a conquest, always a right. Our Lord Jesus Christ came into the world with the purpose of setting us free from the chains of sin. But although freedom is a right of every human being, there are inhuman beings who oppress others and for whom it is a crime for someone to “dare” to request freedom. A crime punishable by prison, exile, torture, death. It is incredible how human beings can tend to enslave others and feel satisfaction in it. Enslave and subjugate and abuse the weakest who are denied even the possibility of defending themselves. Here in Venezuela we often quote the saying “Above there is a God who sees below.” But the theme is “Freedom”, not oppression, so I am not going to fall into the temptation of talking about the lack of freedom but I will talk about freedom. A right inherent to every human being, whose limits are established by the well-being of others. My freedom allows me to do what I want as long as it is not harmful to myself or others. It is the good exercise of freedom. Misinterpreting freedom and falling into excesses in its name is not freedom but “debauchery” and, like all excess, it is negative. But true…genuine freedom…how beautiful it is! Freedom of thought, of speech. Being able to put into practice our ability to use our free will for good. What epic did Moses experience when God entrusted him with that beautiful mission of freeing his people! And just as there are leaders for evil, there are leaders for good. Those who are not satisfied with their individual freedom but want others to also be able to experience being free. Because Moses was free, considered the grandson of Pharaoh, he had all the comforts and all the freedoms, but he was not happy knowing he was free while he saw the oppression of Israel's slavery. May God cover our people with His Grace and His Mercy, forgive our sins and allow us all to experience freedom, our right.
