The single quote that I share this morning for my Index4Index Daily Inspired Motivation, by M. Scott Peck, speaks to the life-altering potency of truly valuing ourselves, and therefore, valuing our time, and what we choose to do with it.
"Until you value yourself, you won't value your time, until you value your time, you will not do anything with it." - M. Scott Peck
This is a big one. That one little sentence holds so much. The degree to which we are able to see and appreciate our own value directly correlates with how we choose to use our time, and with how others value us. It all starts with us, however, for only we are able to tend the flame of self-worth. Others may help us to spark it once again, but the responsibility for maintaining and growing its radiant shine in the world lies solely with us.
It is only when we finally come to fully grasp and comprehend our utterly unique, magical, and potent living divine creative core, that we are able to see that by our very existence we are valuable beyond any measure. When we come to this place of what I would call a humble appreciation of our magnificence, giving fully of ourselves and our special irreplicable gifts becomes not only our greatest honor, pleasure, and privilege, but also our responsibility and duty to use those gifts well. And to use our gifts well, we must honor ourselves and our time, and choose accordingly.
One very important message that I want to drive home is that we are the value that we seek in the world, and in others. Golden shadow, you could say, that we project out into our worlds, yet cannot see in ourselves. We are that immense value, that incalculable worth, and once it 'clicks' inside of us and we see and feel it in wholeness, everything changes.
Remember, dear friends, that we are all in this together, that we rise by lifting others, and that together we thrive, so onward and upward, joyfully together! 🙏💚⚡💥🔥👣🌱
