For today's Index4Index Daily Inspired Motivation I felt the call to speak of serving humanity through alignment and devotion to our deepest passions, purposes, and missions. The three quotes that I share this morning, by Leo Tolstoy, Thomas Watson, and Lailah Gifty Akita, all express different, yet interconnected and interrelated, aspects of this elegant idea.

All of us, whether we acknowledge it or are aware of it consciously or not, have a deep desire and longing to serve our fellow brothers and sisters. The conditioned, programmed slave perspective says that we must choose between serving ourselves or serving humanity, and if we choose to serve humanity, then we must basically forget about our own individual desires and passions. I would suggest, however, that such a viewpoint is exceedingly limited and distorted, and that, in truth and actuality, when we align and commit to our individual and unique passions, purposes, and missions, giving of ourselves authentically and deeply, we are serving humanity in the greatest sense.
We are all an integral and intimate part of a divine living whole, and our unique individual passions, purposes, and missions fit and flow with this whole in a mutually beneficial, synergistic way. And it is only by being true to our deepest internal core fire that we are able to be true to, and serve, our fellow humans in any real manner.
Some say that they don't know what their passions, purposes, or missions are. That is only because they are not truly connected to their own core life energy yet, because once that occurs, clarity and focus shine a radiant light through all confusion, indecision, or doubt.
We are all, each and every one of us, here for a truly beautiful, potent, and irreplicable reason, and that reason reveals itself to us when we sincerely devote ourselves to it - even if we are not yet fully aware of what it is. As entrepreneurs, we have the great honor, pleasure, and privilege of doing what we most love, living in overflowing abundance, and giving our unique gifts in service to humanity. That's win-win all around. Yes, and more, please!
