Have you been disappointed lately? How do you handle your disappointments?
About a week ago, my boyfriend and I scheduled our Trivia Night Date. I know! Our date ideas have become more complicated as the days go by! 🤣 Last time, we were happy chilling, reading, and even sleeping in a private park. This time around, we had to do a lot of brain work. The picnic date was my idea; it was time for my boyfriend to choose something he loves doing or attending and share that activity with me. I remember he joined a Trivia Night last year and he invited everyone else except me and the place I'm renting is less than two kilometers away. He said I mentioned about not feeling well at that time. Still, I was fuming mad about it for some time and hated Trivia Night even more. 😭😠 I think that's how this date materialized.
Would you believe me if I say this was my first-ever Trivia Night? Arrgggh!! I was trying to avoid this at all costs. Apparently, my perfectionist self is ashamed to join Trivia Nights and end up a loser. 🙄 Despite having college friends and clubmates who frequently go to Trivia Nights, I haven't joined them even once. I was too busy making good grades in college! 🤣
I heard from my boyfriend that it's best to join Trivia Nights with your friends or even strangers. I invited two friends but as expected only Jelo came. Jelo has been keeping us company in a lot of our couple trips and events!
The Trivia Night was fun from choosing our Group name (Bogo) to answering every question per category. I can tell you how well or badly we did per category but I'd rather give a short review of the place where the Trivia Night was held the Handuraw Pizza.
Okay, I studied at a State University in Gorordo Avenue where the original Handuraw Pizza used to be located. We've eaten in Handuraw Pizza Gorordo branch on more than one occasion but a few years back, it was closed for good. I couldn't forget how delish the food in Handuraw Pizza Gorordo was before. My personal favorite was their Meatlovers Pizza. Knowing their reputation, we ordered the same pizza along with other dishes during the Trivia Night held at their newly opened branch in Subangdaku, Mandaue City. When it was delivered to our table, my disappointment came crashing down my spine. What happened to THE Handuraw Pizza? This is not Handuraw Pizza!!! Alberto's Pizza even tasted better than the one served to us. What a dismay! Maybe they changed their business model, maybe this time it's not about good food anymore, maybe the rising costs of raw materials! I don't know! For someone who tried their food before, I couldn't help but compare and hate how things turned out.
If you're curious if we won, we didn't! I joked I won't do it again but definitely I'll do it again but NOT go back to Handuraw. It's just not worth it.
