This can lead to continuous second-guessing and unnecessary questioning, and after a while that leads to an unhealthy level of stress. In the end, this lack of faith has too much downside.
Just for the sake of maintaining sanity, it's better to have faith. Whether it's in God, The Creator, the universe, or whatever else deserves that level of faith, it frees us to focus on what we need to do instead of not doing anything because we question everything. When we see that having faith works for us, it helps us grow that faith. Once that faith grows, there's no limit to what we can do.
