After a long tiring day, I wanted to eat food that can be easily bought in our local area. Luckily, Empanada vendors are just around, and my craving is satisfied.

Are you finding a complete package of food packed with nutrition? Or just a food that will substitute the westerner's famous burger?

A local food famous in Ilokanos will be a great choice, Empanada! It is loved because of its unique taste and sumptuous smell. It is sold on the streets, in eateries and restaurants in Ilocandia.

The wrapper of the Empanada is made from rice flour and stuffed with sauteed papaya or cabbage. Along with the whole egg and the famous Vigan Longganisa of Vigan City in Ilocos Sur. Then fry it in hot oil.

A variety of sauces are also available as a pair of Empanada. These are vinegar, ketchup, tomato sauce, or blood sauce cooked by vendors. But I prefer ketchup and spicy vinegar.

Preferably it is advised to consume it when it is hot and crunchy while soft on the inside. Surely!, your cravings will be satisfied too.
