Hello Hivers, and friends of #SWC! I'm here to present my first progression in calisthenics.
As you may know I started calisthenics recently, and the first thing I wanted to do was the handstand. I couldn't find a way to do it and I was gradually giving my best, I had to try many, many and countless times, in order to achieve my goal 🎯; however, I never gave up.
Some time ago I decided to challenge myself and learn how to do the handstand on the floor. I knew it wouldn't be easy, but I was determined to make it happen. I started researching and practicing different exercises and techniques to strengthen my arms, shoulders and core, as I knew that these muscle groups were essential to maintain balance in the handstand.
I started with basic exercises, such as push-ups and pull-ups, to strengthen my arms. I also performed shoulder strengthening exercises, such as lateral raises and push-ups. In addition, I included core exercises, such as crunches and planks, to strengthen my core and improve my stability. As I progressed in my training, I started practicing handstands against the wall. This allowed me to work on my balance and correct body alignment. I spent many hours practicing, falling and retrying over and over again. At times, I would get frustrated and think about giving up, but I would remember my determination and keep going.
Finally, the day came when I managed to do the handstand on the floor for the first time. It was an incredibly exciting and rewarding moment. I felt a mixture of joy, pride and awe as I realized that I had achieved my goal. I felt strong and powerful, as if I could conquer any challenge that came my way.
Achieving the handstand taught me many valuable lessons. I learned about the importance of perseverance and dedication in achieving goals. I also discovered that the learning process is just as important as the end result. Every fall and every failed attempt helped me to improve and grow as a person.
I leave you with these retouched pictures with all those moments in which I gradually achieved my goal. Greetings to everyone in the community.
