I love today's theme, also because I have some beautiful photos that I had saved just for such an occasion!
Taking pictures and saving them is always a good thing heh heh!
So, it's important to start from a premise, I love birthdays, almost in the same way I love Christmas which, after all, is always a birthday.
I believe that reaching a new year of age should be celebrated in the right way; it doesn't matter if it's 18, 25, 40 or 100 it's an excellent occasion, perhaps the best, to celebrate and, in my view, to set new goals and start again for the next year of life.
I've never had memorable parties, perhaps the one I turned 18 that was given to me and organized as a surprise by friends was but, in any case, I believe that things can be beautiful even if they are simple; I love celebrating my birthdays with my family and friends.
Here you can see me together with the love of my life; Reny himself organized the party for my forty years, which took place last year now, in less than a month they will be 41.
In my heart that was the most memorable birthday ever; it certainly was because turning 40 is an important milestone and, after blowing out the candles, my "second half" began.
It was especially memorable because the first to be married, twenty days later we also celebrated our first wedding anniversary.
In this photo (which I slightly modified) we are together with my brother and sister-in-law, as well as obviously Reny, whom you know by now; naturally I also celebrated my birthday with my parents and in-laws who had lunch with us; my brother and his family stopped by in the afternoon and in the evening my wife organized the party with her friends
As you can see I wasn't dressed in a particular way, in the evening with friends I even wore a very comfortable tracksuit eh eh!
Actually because the party with friends was half a surprise.
In my country there are no specific ways to celebrate or typical foods; surely one thing that cannot and must never be missing is the cake, in Calabria we usually accompany it also with many pastries.
As you can see from the photos, on my fortieth birthday I had a cake made for lunch, then in the photo with my brother there is a cake prepared with profiteroles that they brought me and, even, in the evening for the party at surprise, in addition to these two cakes a tiramisu!
I am a person who loves to give gifts, obviously I am also pleased to receive them but what is important as far as I am concerned is the thought; I don't think a gift is qualified by the cost it has but by the heart with which it is made; in this last photo you can see the most beautiful gift of that evening, spending my birthday with my life partner and the rest of the family and friends of all time... they are the most beautiful gift that life has given me !
In these days we also celebrated Hive's birthday; I would have liked to participate more actively in the celebrations but a series of astral conjunctions prevented me.
So I take the opportunity in this post to say: Happy birthday Hive!
What we have achieved is a great goal and I am sure that all of us Hivers will start again from here to make our fantastic world grow and improve even more!
well at this point I can conclude, I think I've talked enough and, if I continue a little longer... the new birthday is coming heh heh!
by the way, did I tell you the exact day? You say no?!? My birthday is April 17th 😉

Adoro il tema di oggi, anche perché ho alcune belle foto che avevo conservato giusto per un'occasione del genere!
Scattare foto e tenerle da parte è sempre una buona cosa eh eh!
Allora, è importante partire da una premessa, io amo i compleanni, quasi allo stesso modo in cui amo il Natale che poi, in fondo, sempre di compleanno si tratta.
Credo che il raggiungimento di un nuovo anno di età vada festeggiato alla giusta maniera; non importa si tratti di 18, 25, 40 o 100 è un ottima occasione, forse la migliore, per festeggiare e, a mio modo di vedere, per porsi nuovi obiettivi e ripartire per il successivo anno di vita.
Non ho mai fatto delle feste memorabili, forse quella dei 18 anni che mi è stata regalata e organizzata a sorpresa dagli amici lo era ma, in ogni caso, credo che le cose possano essere belle anche se sono semplici; io amo festeggiare i miei compleanni insiemi alla famiglia ed agli amici di sempre.
Qui mi puoi vedere insieme all'amore della mia vita; proprio Reny mi ha organizzato la festa per i quarant'anni, compiuti l'anno scorso ormai, tra meno di un mese diverranno 41.
Nel mio cuore quello è stato il compleanno in assoluto più memorabile; sicuramente lo è stato perché i 40 anni sono un traguardo importante e, dopo aver spento le candeline, è iniziato il mio "secondo tempo".
E' stato memorabile soprattutto perché il primo da sposato, un ventina di giorni dopo abbiamo anche festeggiato il nostro primo anniversario di matrimonio.
In questa foto (che ho un po' modificato) siamo insieme a mio fratello e mia cognata, oltre ovviamente a Reny che ormai conosci; naturalmente ho festeggiato il compleanno anche con i miei genitori ed i miei suoceri che sono stati a pranzo da noi; mio fratello con la sua famiglia è passato nel pomeriggio e, la sera mia Moglie ha organizzato la festa insieme agli amici
Come potrai notare non ero vestito in maniera particolare, la sera con gli amici addirittura portavo una comodissima tuta eh eh!
In realtà perché la festa con gli amici è stata una mezza sorpresa.
Nel mio paese non ci sono dei modi specifici di festeggiare ne dei cibi tipici; sicuramente una cosa che non può e non deve mancare mai è la torta, in Calabria siamo soliti accompagnarla anche con tanti pasticcini.
Come puoi vedere dalle foto nel giorno del mio quarantesimo compleanno mi è stata fatta la torta a pranzo, poi nella foto con mio fratello c'è una torta preparata con i profiteroles che mi hanno portato loro e, addirittura, la sera per la festa a sorpresa, in aggiunta a queste due torte un tiramisù!
Io sono una persona che adora fare i regali, ovviamente mi fa piacere anche riceverli ma, quello che è importante per quel che mi riguarda è il pensiero; non credo che un regalo si qualifichi dal costo che ha ma dal cuore con cui è fatto; in questa ultima foto puoi vedere il più bel regalo di quella sera, passare il mio compleanno con la mia Compagna di Vita e il resto della famiglia e con gli amici di sempre... loro sono il più bel regalo che la vita mi ha fatto!
In questi giorni abbiamo festeggiato anche il compleanno di Hive; avrei voluto partecipare più attivamente ai festeggiamenti ma, una serie di congiunzioni, astrali me lo ha impedito.

Quello che abbiamo raggiunto è un bel traguardo e sono certo che tutti noi Hivers ripartiremo da qui per far crescere e migliorare sempre di più questo nostro fantastico mondo!
