There are places steeped in history and tradition, in the past ruins used for normal peasant life or grazing, but today they have become farms that host countless surprises. Torre Nebbia is a farmhouse located in the hills of the Murgia park, among the highest points. The name fog tower comes from the perennial morning fog that envelops the hills and hides them from the view of visitors.
In the past, a family of peasants and shepherds inhabited the land until about half a century ago. Progress and the attraction of large cities has encouraged new generations to migrate in search of less tiring and more economically rewarding jobs.
In the last 10-15 years, however, there has been a return to traditions, in a modern key, creating catering and accommodation points for those wishing to enjoy impeccable food and a different life experience.
Torre di Nebbia is a magical location, not easy to reach due to the roads that are certainly not used, the last mile is a dirt road typical of the farms of the past centuries. The restaurant today is modern and offers all the comforts but here and there there are evident traces of history.
A lovely place to breathe the countryside air. Two great Maremma shepherds are the guardians of the land and also the guardians of some unwelcome guests, such as wild boars, present in numerous specimens throughout the territory. At sunset we also spotted two foxes stealthily crossing the fields and heading towards the vineyards. Indeed, foxes are grape lovers.

Ci sono luoghi impregnanti di storia e tradizione, in passato ruderi adibiti alla normale vita contadina o di pascolo, oggi invece sono diventati masserie che ospitano innumerevoli sorprese. Torre Nebbia è una masseria situata tra i colli del parco della Murgia, tra i punti più alti. Il nome torre di nebbia nasce proprio dalla perenne nebbia mattutina che avvolge i colli e li cela alla vista dei visitatori.
In passato, una famiglia di contadini e pastori ha abitato la terra fino a circa mezzo secolo fa. Il progresso ed il richiamo delle grandi città ha incentivato oe nuove generazioni a migrare in cerca di lavori meno faticosi e più economicamente gratificanti.
Negli ultimi 10-15 anni si è assistito invece ad un ritorno alle tradizioni, in chiave moderna, creando punti di ristorazione e di soggiorno per chi volesse godere del cibo impeccabile e di una esperienza di vita diversa.
Torre di Nebbia è una location magica, non semplice da raggiungere a causa delle strade non certo ageduate, l'ultimo miglio è una strada sterrata tipica delle masserie dei secoli scorsi. Il ristorante oggi è moderno e offee tutti i comfort ma qua e là ci sono tracce evidenti di storia.
Un luogo incantevole in cui respirare l'aria delle campagne. Due grandi pastori maremmani sono i custodi della terra ed anche i guardiani di alcuni ospiti poco graditi, come i cinghiali, presenti in numerosi esemplari in po' su tutto il territorio. Al tramonto noi abbiamo avvistato anche due volpi che furtive attraversavano i campi e si dirigevano verso i vigneti. Le volpi, infatti, sono amanti dell'uva.
