Turismo en Táchira: Viaje al Santuario del Santo Cristo de la Grita

La Fe mueve al mundo. Es por eso que cada 5 y 6 de Agosto en la Ciudad de la Grita ubicada al norte del Estado Táchira y en el Occidente de Venezuela. Gran cantidad de personas (peregrinos) se movilizan desde sus ciudades y pueblos en el Estado Táchira, e inclusive desde todos los estados del país a este lugar. Con la finalidad de celebrar la festividad del Santo Cristo de la Grita

Otra de sus curiosidades es que el Primer Dinosaurio encontrado en Venezuela, se hallo en esta ciudad, en el año 1992, en la Formación La Quinta, y fue descubierto por el equipo investigador francés, formado por D. El día principal de la celebración es el 6 de Agosto. Y los peregrinos caminan desde San Cristóbal y desde otras ciudades hasta el Santuario del Santo Cristo de la Grita, para agradecer por los favores recibidos o para para pagar sus promesas. En las carreteras y vías del Estado Táchira, las familias tachirenses junto a protección civil y otros organismos del Estado, apoyan a los caminantes con atención médica, agua, bebidas e incluso platos típicos de la región totalmente gratis.

The main day of the celebration is August 6th. And the pilgrims walk from San Cristobal and other cities to the Sanctuary of the Santo Cristo de la Grita, to give thanks for favors received or to pay their promises. La Grita es una Ciudad Turística que recomiendo visitar. Tanto su casco como sus templos. Es una ciudad productiva, con excelentes atractivos y un clima agradable. Si deciden venir, recomiendo que tomen la ruta del paramo del Estado Táchira. Puesto que esta llena de paisajes hermosos.
