There is a pattern for everything. Back in the days when I went to learn how to sew clothes, my madam will always draw out her pattern and she makes sure to follow it. If she for any reason decides to do her thing after drafting her pattern, the result will also go that way.
The world do have her own pattern or let's say ways of doing things.
Rom.12.2 - And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
The verse above admonishes us not to align with the way the world does her things but rather we should allow ourselves be changed by the word of God. By so doing we will be able to accurately say what the will of God is concerning every matter of our lives. God does not make mistakes at all, rather we will be confused when we decide to follow what is in our heart that is not in Accordance with his will for us.
My prayer is that God helps you to think like him as you seek to follow how he wants you to live your life on a daily basis. In all may you come to understand his purpose for your life.
