Guan Yin Statue, Hatyai, Thailand

Another must visit in Hatyai is the Guan Yin statue in Hatyai. Standing tall and is the revered goddess of mercy and compassion in Chinese buddhism believe. Pure white.

Hi hi.. I am @luueetang and it's Saturday. Time flies. It's been a week. I've been writing for a couple of weeks, my trip to Hatyai in January. I am documenting everything so you can read about it. I am going to use this as a reference if in case I would want to revisit Hatyai again.

This iconic statue can be seen from afar

Near this temple, there is also a dragon. In the mouth of the dragon, a flight of steps.

The golden dragon. The Thais are very creative. They are able to create lots of iconic structures.

The bell

Donated by Malaysians from Kuala Lumpur. In Chinese believe, the sounds of the bell purify the environment as well as ward off any evil spirits, bringing good luck.

Guan Yin

The craftworks is pretty intricate. Every detail to perfection.

The lower section of the statue

Lots and lots of smaller buddhas. Pillars with dragons protecting the temple from harm as well as bringing fortune to the temple. Buddhist chant playing in the background.

Around the main pillar are different depictions of Guan Yin.

The Guan Yin with multiple hands. The goddess who symbolizes sympathy and the ability to help those in need.

While I was walking here, I felt a sense of calmness.

The panoramic view of the statue and complex.

The dragon and the flight of steps that go up.

As you walk up, you would be greeted with the god of fortune.

I am not sure if what I think of this particular altar is true.

From the looks of it, there could be a real monk inside this. This was the last day I was going to be in Hatyai. I had already spent a day and the half here. This is the first time that I've had so much to write for a place that I only spent a couple of days in. I kind of enjoyed driving around here.

Have a great Saturday. Wish you a great day ahead.
