Fried Kueh Tiaw

Dear everyone,

Morning. How has your week been? Last night, I went to eat Kueh Tiaw.
Kueh Tiaw is one of my favorite local dishes out here. Kueh Tiaw is a type of local noodle stir-fried in a wok. The best thing is that you top it up with a fried egg with the yolk still intact and liquid. Hunting food late at night. There are many open-air food courts still up for business here at night. Eating seems to be a national hobby here.

A local Sarawakian fried kueh tiaw

Flat rice noodles are stir-fried with soy sauce. Soy sauce adds to the slightly salty taste.

Late at night, lots of people still eating before heading off to bed.

The stall. The cook is dedicated. The look on his face tells it all. Yes, this stall is open. Busy frying noodles.

This type of stall is where most Sarawakians go when they are hungry.

A cup of coffee

I love drinking coffee even at night and even with this cup of coffee, it's always a great night of sleep.

The Kueh Tiaw

Fried egg at the top of the fried noodles. Such a wonderful combo. The soy sauce adds some saltiness to the dish. Soy sauce has to be just enough to stir the taste buds. When it is served after it is fried, and on the plate, the steam that comes out of it is amazing to look at.

After such a wonderful dinner, it was time to head off home to bed and have sweet dreams.

Thank you very much for reading my post. Have a great day ahead.
