Tracing Back Our Steps Down To Memory Lane

We went back to place where my father used to work as a forest conservasionist. Not only was it better than before, it had become a national park which now attracts a lot of tourists.

We left at eight one morning riding a van bringing with us our relatives for a family trip. For almost two hours we traveled thanking that it was sunny for the rain might halt the journey. Our first stop was Lake Danao National Park. It is the bigger of the two lakes in the area. We ate our breakfast there at the floating cottage on the lake. As we ate we watched the fog went down to the water and even on early noon the fog still surround mountains. The place removed the weariness from the long travel and we stayed at the cottage longer.

There used to be trees around the entrance of the lake before and now it had become row of cottages and selling stalls full of produce from the mountain and the lake. There is a one souviner shop that sells bracelets and necklaces and the one thing that caught my attention was the pearl earrings. I brought home some as a remembrance, I never really expect to see one there. Among the many clams around the lake only a few contain these pearls and the store decided to make it into earrings.

Later we went to the Heaven's Peak, a flower garden up above the mountains. When we entered the Heaven's Peak we were greeted by the flowers, rows and rows of imported flowers. We were told not to pick some and to just look. They also got a cafe and an inn which is convenient to the visitors. All those flowers loved the cold air the same as us. If we could just stay there all the time.

Even for almost the entire day of excursion it wasn't as tiring as being the below where the sun is hotter. The tropical feel seems lost on the beauty above the clouds where the sun is cooler and the clouds nearer. We brought home vegetables grown above the mountains because we weren't allowed to pick some flowers. The sun was setting on the horizon as we neared home.
