Two days of hard work made it possible
Finally after two days of continuous work, the garden has taken some shape. Initially I prepared the small containers, and started the preparation as I wrote in my last post. The Chrysanthemum plants have been growing, so to stop them flowering now and grow better, it is being trimmed from the top. And then last time I planted only few French Inca because I did not have enough pots ready. So I put them in two big pots to grow for a while, and see how fast they grew.
I took one other big pot having six more to my native and planted there ( more to come on that), and left this one here. And the status of the garden after a little over two weeks.
Preparing the mindset to make these big pots ready was not easy though.
The smaller pots needed some maintenance, cleaning the weeds.
And then organize everything from here. So I knew it was a lot of work so I dedicated this week end fully for it, working for six hours each day. I already ordered two big packets of vermicompost and made sure, they are available by Friday along with coco peat. And then finally the execution started on Saturday morning.
Taking out soil of each big pot, mixing cocopeat and vermicompost to make the perfect mix was pretty time consuming as well as difficult. But I was determined to complete this in this week end. And as mentioned in my last post, I put some French Inca seeds in two large pots so that I could save some money and distribute the saplings as well. See what turned out.
Full of Stonebreaker (ଭୂଇଁ ଅଅଁଳା) plants and not a single French Inca sapling - gardening is always fun. So decided to give these Stonebreaker to some friends who asked me earlier. Refer this post, for the amazing health benefit of Stonebreaker , I had planted them some times back, so they took over.
The boy helped me to separate the Stonebreaker plants from weeds and pack it to take home, given later to friends.
And also take some photos and rearrange these pots.
As you can see, I also cut down some branches of those big French Inca plants and replanted them in few big pots. So once they grow, I can just put them in these big pots, which is ready to be used and put under the sunlight.
So most of the garden work is done for this Winter, but wait, there is still something outstanding.
The curry leaves plant needs to be replanted in a bigger container and it has given birth to few kids, which needs their own working space.
But then the soil was so tight, that I could not finish this task. So just left them there sprinkling some water, and I will have to go back and complete this one last task. There will be still continuous regular work of adding the organic fertilizers , watering etc, but they won't be this hard. Also I was thinking to try out some seeds that I brought from Kashmir, on those large containers, so that's one other task to do.
This year, I am trying to experiment some new set of organic fertilizers.
Let's see what secret they bring - the sea secret has already been applied. Someone was asking me why to spend so much on these plants - the entire cost is definitely not small, but then we all spend for our pleasure. I could have even hired a person to do the work, but then I don't find that perfection and satisfaction when I do it myself.
