Our veggies garden in winters 🍃

Greetings to everyone ☘️
How are you all? I hope everyone is doing well. This is my first blog in hive garden community. How's the weather at your place? I live in mountains , the winter season is going on and temperature here is in - degree Celsius . Today, in this blog , I will be sharing some of veggies we have sown in fall season which are growing very slowly and gradually.

  1. Chillies : The chillies are sown in spring season , which is may month in mountains . These are harvested in December . This year, due to some issues we had sown chillies during June and because of this reason , we do have some plants of chilli left .

As you can see , some chillies are red. We try to let all the green chilli turned into red and then we pluck them and put them under sun for 25 to 30 days until they are fully dried . We make red chilli powder by grinding them and use the powder in variety of food recipes. The red chilli is a source of vitamin C .

  1. Garlic with Mustard greens : The garlic with Mustard greens are sown during fall season which is October month in mountains. The garlic is a plant which belongs to onion family contains sulphur compound which helps in boost immunity and reduce the severity of common illness like flu or common cold . We used to add garlic in every recipe we make during winter season.

We had sown garlic in rows and mustard greens between the rows . The mustard greens contain calcium and potassium which is very good for bones . It is very rich in antioxidants and includes vitamin A , vitamin C , vitamin K and vitamin E. Grow and eat lots of greens.
