Hello, beautiful community and hard-working members/gardeners greetings. This year is not very exciting for our harvest except for some potatoes, apples, and a few tomatoes. Some herbs that's all we harvest much too much calendula that is sure.
As I told you in my last post all my seedlings have been taken over by calendula plants and all vegetables have disappeared. the small place was/is full of calendula bloom. The sweet peas got some insects so they were not the same as last year. After pulling some dead calendula plants a tiny squash plant showed up. But it is too late.
But our apple tree is incredibly full of fruits. Last week It was very bad weather rain and wind many apples fell to the ground. But still some on the tree.

We started cleaning our garden early this year, The bushes of calendula are so crowded I was afraid of tick bites. Ticks are very common here in Norway. They grow everywhere. And I got 2 bites
We pulled many calendula bushes that are almost finished flowering.

we got a very late start for tomatoes so it is no surprise that there are only enough for two Indian dinners. (Use very less tomatoes in dal or carry.)

Harvesting the potatoes. we only had a few plants and they did better than expected given the lack of care they received. basically we put them in the ground and left them alone apart from some weeding

Enough potatoes for celebrating the Ganesh festival. I don't know why there were both red and white ones on the same plants. maybe we just planted them close together so it looked like one plant

Earlier this summer shifted some tagetus/marigolds to pots because of all the calendula hiding them. they are blooming wonderfully in the front of the house. that is good because the poppies are just about finished
