Fear sets in as they pass through the sealed door
Being at the keep made it a worthwhile time to head back down to the Endless Paths to clear up more and get closer to the Master Below.
"I must say that this adventuring with you all, the friendship bonds we formed and the slaying we have done has been wonderful and may have me stay around for a longer time" claimed Kana as everyone smiled with joy.
They got down to where they had last left, moved around a little before finding a group of skeletons and then another and another because there were quite a lot on this 6th floor. It made for some fun and relaxing battles where they might take some damage but only to a smaller extent before they killed the undead once more.
Upon coming into contact with a sealed door that had three round slots to insert something into each, it was believed the seals they had collected two of, would be the things needed and they would have to find the last one somewhere on this level.
Once the party had found the last unexplored part of this level they knew this is where seal number three would be... beyond the skeletal wizard and its magic and inside a chest or coffin or something else.
It was a good thing they had this fight because they all gained their level 8! First up TheGoliath learned the level four spell Maura's Writhing Tentacles which does a three tentacle summoning causing crush and corrode damage. Kana learned the level two invocation At the Sound of His Voice, the Killers Froze Stiff which paralyzes enemies in the area of effect and definitely would be useful.
Hiravias only unlocked the new talent Great Wildstrike Freeze for some damage increase and set as freeze damage, while Eder's new talent was Body Control so his defences are strengthened against a number of debuff control states and afflictions.
Pallegina got Acolyte's Radiance for extra team healing which would always be helpful, meanwhile the Grieving Mother learned the new power Mind Lance, which inflicts major piercing damage to anyone in the line of the attack.
As everyone got down to level 7 it produced an eerie and dreadful feeling inside them all... "This doesn't feel too good, I feel like it won't end well at the moment and we have to be careful" said Hiravias as they continued and fought a group of earth and fire blights.
This wasn't even the bad part either which would soon be realised when coming up against a big group made up of blights, animats and Adragan.
This big group really showed the power they have, with casting things like Crackling Bolt or a storm for some intense lightning damage, or doing lots of melee damage and all sorts which was making it hard for retaliation.
"Attack them and give it all you have!" shouted TheGoliath to inspire the party.
So everyone started casting their big spells and area of effect spells which was getting in some nice hits and damage and it seemed like they may just make it. Until they just couldn't kill the enemies quick enough compared to what they were doing to them and this is something they will have to worry about soon enough but move on for now, until they get a little bit stronger and can strategically defeat them all.
"It is time we head back up and rest. We still have to keep preparing for war as well, not just defeat the Master below so we need to pace ourselves a little" announced TheGoliath as they headed back up to the keep before getting the much needed rest.
