Episode #3 - Ooga Booga Hunter Geevo
So today's episode is shorter than previous ones, but we focus a bit towards getting some weapons, as well as killing different animals and seeing what they drop as loot which is pretty important for our overall survival.
First off I checked the advancements and there was a Tomahawk one, so I quickly got that off the list. The Tomahawk is a melee weapon and can be thrown using the right click.
And what better way to start this episode than 2 creepers just waiting by the entrance, ready to blow up the wall to smithereens 😅
I dealt with the creeper situation quickly and went back into the first hole we made in the previous episodes just to see if we can dig into something more interesting, but no luck.... just the empty & cold void.
Coming back on the surface I was surprised by a bear just bathing in this small pond. And as this is a hunter episode I managed to slay the beast and take its loot.
It dropped bear meat as well as it's claws, which in later episodes I will use to make a better weapon.
And here I am killing some wolves, getting their pelt to make armor later on...
I know it's cruel to kill (basically dogs), but here we talking about survival, it's either him or me 😂
Also I found some potatoes, beetroot and wheat just randomly generated on my island. Sweet.
At this point I was just wondering what to do, so I got on the when in doubt, chop down some trees mindset.. and here I am... 😅🤣
Here I am looking for armor that can be crafted early on and it seems that wolf pelt armor is our only viable option. The problem is that wolves don't always drop pelt, so it will take some time to gather enough... still better than the leather progression later on (I don't even wanna think about it...)
And here I got into another moment of "I got no idea what to do", so I just took screenshots of the sundown and the rise of the moon.
But with the night approaching there was only one logical thing to do and that was to get the hell back to my dirt hut and spend the night there. Still better than staying outside with da creeps.😃
Not that this dirt hut is helping me a lot with them though... (You'll understand what im talking about in the next episode.)
