Several days ago my friends and I were able to finish Terraria, which was a very nice and fun experience, it had been a long time since I finished a game with my friends. But our story would not end with the end of the game, we had to go for more. Terraria is a game in which you can add many visual mods and others that offer you a different experience to Terraria Vanilla, so we decided to choose to improve our experience and spend a lot of time on one of the best Terraria mods:
Calamity Mod
This Mod has multiple comments all over the net, and not only that, you can also find many memes related to Calamity that let you know that the Mod is not simple at all. We can assure you that everything that is said about Calamity is true, and we have only played it for a couple of hours.
Our first play session was a modest 10 hours, not too long. Obviously I'm kidding, 10 hours of play in a row is too much, but for us it was a little too little. @dog3zz was live for 10 hours straight, we only had a short half hour break for lunch and then we continued.
My duty in this new adventure was to design our home. We had planned to make a giant tree house that we saw in a Terraria image, but making something like that was extremely time consuming and we needed a place to settle and protect ourselves at night. So my first few minutes in the world of Calamity and the next 10 hours were devoted to my efforts to create a beautiful and functional house, at least that's what I tried. You can click this Reddit and it will take you to the reference image we wanted to implement in our home:
I started with a small house that would be the first home for our first NPC and also the house that would lay the foundation for our home to take shape. I used a tool that allows me to create home instead of wood to give it a tree look, at least I feel that everything with leaves and green looks great, at least in survival games I feel it does. In Minecraft I loved to decorate my wooden houses with brush and bushes.
I learned that with the hammer you can rotate structures to give them the shapes you want, so that made it much easier for me to create something much more in line with what I had in mind and avoid everything being square. One resource I used a lot was the use of glass to make the house a little more "modern". At first the house was only made of wood with some glass walls, but then I noticed that the glass floor looked great and I adapted it to the whole house.
In the end I liked the result, it was all improvised, but I ended up liking it a lot. The bad thing is that in Calamity there are many more NPC's, so you need to create many more rooms for them to have a place to live. I thought about making the house a bit bigger and keep expanding it upwards, but I think that would be a mistake and in the end I would end up losing the essence. On the right side of the house, I made a simple structure with a couple of houses for several NPC's, it's not pretty, but it's simple and it serves as a structure for my next project.
We also have a subway storage room, actually it's more like a basement. @dog3zz was in charge of building it and it turned out pretty good. In that place we keep all the chests and we also have our portals so we can move around much faster.
Overall I can say that my experience building it has been a lot of fun, a little complicated, but not something that can get better with time. Beyond the house, we also discovered a lot of other awesome stuff from the Calamity Mod.
The Mod adds new starting enemies, robots that drop junk and you can use it to your advantage. You can create many useful things with the objects that these enemies leave behind and advance your early game much faster. If I hadn't focused on the house, I probably would have collected a lot of junk to get strong quickly, "strong".
I'd like to summarize everything we've done in this 10-hour chapter, but it's impossible. The highlight of my start at Calamity has been building our home. The other chapters will focus on the progression of our adventure and the improvement we have gained by defeating very complicated monsters that have made us die many times. I can only say one thing, Calamity does not compare to our previous adventure, it has even made @oldfool, an expert player in games of this type, break out in a cold sweat.
You can read my friend @dog3zz's post here: Dog3zz's point of view - Calamity Mod. You'll probably see a lot more action in his post than in mine, so go check it out. Hope you enjoyed my post, see you soon. Cya, boomers!

Puedes leer el post de mi amigo @dog3zz acรก: Dog3zz's point of view - Calamity Mod. Cya, boomers!
