The company chooses to give up the event this year to "take a step back and focus on itself"

In one of the least surprising announcements of the year, Blizzard decided to cancel the BlizzConline event for 2022, which was scheduled to take place in February (finally something postponed from February).
The company has decided that it prefers to invest its energies in supporting the company's developing teams - both technically and emotionally with everything that is currently happening in the American giant.

Blizzard claims that it decided to "take a step back and stop the planning of the event", when the decision to do so was the "right decision".

In case you still want to hear updates about different company games like Diablo 4, Overwatch 2 and the various World of Warcraft expansions, the company claimed that it will still announce updates and news regarding its various games: "We are proud of our teams and their progress in the various games.

There is a lot of exciting news to share with you, and you will continue to hear about them on our brands' channels, with the team entrusted with the BlizzCon events helping them with the various announcements. "

Given the catastrophic situation of the company at the moment (image and legal), it only makes sense that it would choose to give up a grandiose event that is supposed to celebrate the company and its games.

The company has to face lawsuits involving sexual harassment in the workplace, shocking treatment of employees in the company and the disregard of executives by the rotten culture of employees at Blizzard-Activision.

The lawsuit is so big that it threatens one of the company's biggest brands: World of Warcraft.

Let’s hope Blizzard manages to come out of this whole story stronger, better and more worthy of the name it created for itself.
